That would not be optimal. J-8B is more or less balanced where it is; it has PL-5B as a good rear aspect missile and Aspide as the all-aspect radar missile. Giving it PL-5C would be redundant given the Aspide exists, and would give the plane a BR where it is not as fun to play. Maybe if Gaijin added more J-8 variants, but currently I find it a terrible idea.

How on earth Su-25 (10.3) which is subsonic with only 2 R60M can be at the same BR with the recent moved down supersonic MIG-21 MF & SMT (10.7 to 10.3) with 4 R60M? Also, what kind of crack is used when thinking MF & SMT should go down to 10.3? These questions are neutral, no bias, and just need a preschool logic. Everyone who play more than 1 nation, had no bias to anything, and just a little education will easily find it’s unbalanced (God forbid 9.7 planes that frequently face it). Tim variety and Defyn can’t even find the logic of MF & SMT being lowered to 10.3 since other equal planes still sits at 10.7 at the very least.

They only have regular R-60s, and the MF and SMT should be 10.7.

And the Su-25 is fine at 10.3.

Ahh my bad on “M” part, thanks for the correction. Yeah, MF & SMT should go back to 10.7 since other equal planes sits at that BR. The fact that 9.3 planes which able to met them too like F-100D, MiG-19, Lightning, J32, Su-7B, Yak 38, nerfed F-104A/C, etc, shares BR bracket with MF & SMT felt so wrong they’re basically asking god forgiveness.

Facing it REGULARLY with 9.7-10.0 planes like Jaguar GR1, Hunter F6 and F58, early Mirages, Super Etendard, etc felt unbalanced too.
At that BR bracket they’re either as fast (not really) but no CM with less count of comparable/worse missiles, or subsonic with CM with less count of comparable/worse missiles.

Objectively made 10.3 MF & SMT became OP at it’s current BR. Even my beloved F8E, Mirage 3E, F-5A, etc which i think equal enough for it to have the same BR still correctly sits at 10.7.

Then why am i in a lvl 7.7 balsa wood kiddy kite against 200 level 12 Corelian starfighters and all lvl 100 pilots?

Why is it such a common trend to keep thinking the MF and SMT specifically have R-60Ms? I see comments saying this at least once a month on here.

Remove this stupid balancer from MM and let us play with a random opponent.

What are you referring to

32 games and allways at the bottom-mid, not one time top tier. Any plans to FIX the MM? Some games I just J-out (in this moment i.ex.) because of this or just close the game. Some people uninstall because of this, for sure.

I just refuse to spawn in uptiers at some BRs when I know my plane will be made irrelevant.

It’s not good gameplay, and Gaijins constant refusal to decompress is what causes it.

While i do agree the Mig-23BN is pretty mid to garbage, especially after the airframe nerfs all mig23s got across the board due to overperforming. it suffer the same problem the Maus does. You can’t lower it’s BR because while its usable at it’s BR, it would be neigh untouchable in a full downtier. even now most 8.7 jets can’t touch it unless you mess up. Remember you are flying a 11.0-11.7 jet with almost everything air to air ripped out, at 9.7 BR.

I’ve been playing it a bit more, and it’s really held back by it lacking all aspect missiles. I’d gladly have an 11.7/12.0 BR in exchange for some sort of all aspect AAM.

yeah, the PL-5Bs are great, but their lack of lock angle, (more side aspect than front aspect) really hurts the J-7E, PL-5Cs would make it a lot more convienient to play

I want to hear some gajin employee, about the fkin ground RB 8.0.
just try to defend the decision, that makes maybe 20-25 vehicles totally unplayable

Please don’t see this as a rant; I just want to see if others are thinking like me or if I’m completely wrong.

I’ve recently come back from a 3-month hiatus from Warthunder and have been playing top-tier ground RB as Great Britain. I can now say that top tier is almost unplayable if you aren’t on Russia’s side. I’ve marked down the 20 matches I’ve played today; of the 20 played, 12 were against Russia, and 8 were with them. I won 5 of the 12 against Russia, averaging about top 30% of the team. In all but 1 of the matches, I saw more than 8 people die to KH-38 missiles. In the matches with Russia, I won 3 of the 8 games. Once again, seeing between 3 and 8 people die to the missiles per game.

Every time I’m in an SPAA against the Su-34s, I see them spawn, fire missiles immediately, then turn cold to go rearm or take a CAP role.

Along with this, there is the problem of aircraft giving next to no spawn points for being shot down. Had a few times where I died early on and immediately spawned ADATS. I proceed to shoot down 3-4 aircraft and still get less than 500 RP, even though those aircraft have a much higher chance of killing players than my SPAA (destructive capabilities).

I want to know how this is considered fair over stuff like the Brimstones being able to acquire their own targets. I wouldn’t mind having them have this capability, and then a way to balance this is to limit the number an aircraft can carry.

There is also the problem of the pantsir still.

Also would like to know when SPAA or aircraft with similar capabilities to that which Russia has will be added to other countries.

Gaijin said they will come soon, so I assume they’ll come this year.

As for the CAS issue, all CAS (excluding 1.0-4.0 and 7.7-9.7) is OP, but the Kh-38s are just more OP than what NATO has.

I don’t think that CAS shouldn’t get any buffs, rather it should be nerfed in some ways.

It’s OP because somehow the ADATS can’t track them, but can track any type of bomb and missile except the kh39/29 and NATO in general doesn’t have an SPAA as great as the S1

What Id like to know is why there is blatant in game anomolies!?

  1. Pen Values - Hit, Crit, Kill… its amazing how inconsistent these are from match to match – SAME tanks yet severely different outcomes.!!
  2. Match Making - Why is there clearly a bias (either way) to force the win/lose, you know - the seemingly obvious player teams that couldnt shoot at a tank right infront of them to the Im 2 miles aways and precision shooting from a “new Player”.!
  3. Spawning - Why is it teams get advantages over others ((Direction and location of the spawning)),
  4. Hit Boxes - Planes seems to have an extremely varied damage areas - you could be up close and completely miss OR miles away and set on fire / wing ripped off… yet others you fire 2000 rounds and not a single hit!!

I could go on and on, but you get the point!!! Lets not pretend any anomolies in game either. Id like to say im completely wrong about this, but after playing for so long its become EXTREMELY obvious.!
