Discussing a Sub-Tree for Israel

Now, with Gaijin publically saying that they plan to implement a Greece-Cyprus subtree Israel, we must consider wether this is a wise idea or not. The vehicles those nations could provide for the Israeli tech-tree are mostly copy-and-paste, and these nations do not even have such a great military bond with the IDF. Greece for example has much more to do with the Bundeswehr.

Meanwhile, several other nations with far more uniqueness and a larger quantity of vehicles, in addition to stronger military bonds with the IDF, could be added instead: India, which could make a great addition with Israeli-upgraded vehicles like the Arjun, the HAL Tejas and more (I know India is now considered a subtree for the UK tree, but Gaijin tends to change their opinion from time to time “We do not want our players to buy their way to the top” etc.). Singapore, a country that relied a lot on Israeli military guidance in forming their own amazing defence forces, could give the tree vehicles like the Hunter IFV and the F-16SG; Chile, arguably the most reasonable option, has a wide variety of unique Israeli-influenced vehicles like the Hunter Aguila, M41 HVMS and countless others.

But why bother add a specific nation as a subtree to Israel when a different option makes all others seem dull by comparison? The Israeli defence industries are among the most varied and unique in the world, having gained vast experience through decades of IDF combat-proven techniques. All of a sudden, countless of the most exciting unique vehicles, all with some relation to Israel (unlike some C&P subtrees we have ingame now), would make this rather small tree - as of now - a thriving new source of attraction for players.
Vehicles Israel modified for the Czech Republic, like the BMP-M2 (with a Samson turret on top), for Argentina (TAM 2CIP!), Turkey (F-4E-2020 Terminator), Vietnam (T-55M3), Georgia (Su-25KM Scorpion - we always wished for a Frogfoot with even more OP CAS missiles and Python AAMs), Spain (VCR Dragon), Azerbaijan (T-72 Aslan), Philipines (AW159 Wildcat) and many many many others, in addition to a huge amount of Indian, Singaporean and most importantly, Chilean vehicles (yes, @Chilean_Thunder , I hereby call you to join me in league for the Israel subtree project).
I do not rule out the option of Greek and Cypriot vehicles coming to the Israeli tech-tree, but I think those should only be added with proper connection to Israel, at least an Israeli munition or system or guidance being a part of the vehicle’s story.

So tell me guys, what do you think is best to do here?

  • Stick to Gaijin’s Plan of Greece and Cyprus
  • India/Singapore/Chile/a Combination of them
  • Israeli Defence Industries Subtree

I’d prefer all of the above. Italy, Britain, etc, get to have their export tanks as tech tree without a sub-tree.

India likely won’t budge, but at the very least, Israel should still get Singapore, Chile, Greece, and Cyprus.

What truly saddens me is not being able to see the iconic Chilean vehicles, requested by the community, on the Israeli tree, like the Chilean Super Sherman and Super Chaffee, which are the definitive and most powerful variants in the world and which were already passed on to developers years ago. They are such good vehicles that it’s a shame they never get added to the game and fall into oblivion.

Other vehicles heavily modified by Israel for Chile, such as the repowered M41 or the Piranha with an Israeli turret and cannon.

In aircraft, the Hunter Águila (Eagle), the only one with Israeli missiles and with RWR and chaff being one of the best Hawker Hunters in the world

The Mirage Pantera (Panther), a joint effort between Israel and Chile to convert the Mirage 50 to a standard similar to the Kfir C7

The F-5E Tiger III Plus has been modified by Israeli companies, making it one of the best F-5s in the world, practically equal to the Thai Super Tigris.

In helicopters, the MD 530F modified by Israeli companies to carry Spike and LAHAT missiles

Even on ships, we use Israeli Sa’ar 3 and Sa’ar 4 class fast attack boats.

Finally, all our MBTs use Israeli ammunition, and most of our fighters use Israeli missiles. All branches of the Chilean military have been using Israeli material since the 1970s. That’s why I don’t understand how Gaijin decided to just discard Chile, even though it was the perfect sub-tree for Israel and there was no political problem with adding it. Everyone would be happy.

Id fully support all of the above moving to Israel.

Im very vocal about my opposition to the indian subtree of britain and think it should only be there if the rest of the commonwealth of nations was there too. Israel needs the generic russian C&P more than the brit tree does.

Even on military matters, we have been cooperating for decades. High-ranking military and political commanders from both nations have held meetings to strengthen ties of cooperation. I believe that they simply never sent the Chilean subtrees to Gaijin and that is why they are not even aware of the existence of all this. That is why the state of the forum is so lamentable. In the suggestions section, the moderators should have passed the Chilean subtrees to the devs a long time ago so they could see all this and have all the information available to make a decision. However, the voting system is absolutely useless because in the end, it is arbitrarily decided whether or not they go to the devs.

Rather sadly, since Israeli technology is what tells the Indian Rafale, Su-30, Harrier and Mirage 2000 apart, makes them special.
And it’s even worse when you realize most of India’s interesting domestic stuff was created with and sometimes by Israeli assistance, like with the Tejas, Arjun and much of their air defence.

I am looking forward to further expanding our cooperation, both our countries in the military field (which as an IDF tank commander in reserve, I might actually participate in) and us both in the forums.
I am awaiting the day of Chilean battleships like the the Almirante Latorre arriving in the Israeli tech-tree.

I’ve tried making this point countless times. We’ve got tons of people now bitching about Israel getting Greece because it’s unfair or slop.

The sad reality of the few who do not deny logic…

Israeli Defense Industries Subtree is still Greece, but with Turkey as well.
That’s it really.

Chile’s military equipment history is almost entirely unconnected to Israel, and should instead be part of a South American tech tree.

Did you read what I shared above or do you just like to lie?

We all know that if they added Greece and Cyprus, the first vehicle in that subtree will be copy pasta and then a tiny trinkle of unique vehicle each major update. Honestly the whole sub tree thing is just them being lazy and cheap at adding new vehicle.

@Chilean_Thunder
The post you replied to explicitly states equipment.
Both Chile suggestions are almost exclusively non-Israeli vehicles if not entirely non-Israeli.

@Zodicab claiming that adding unique vehicles is lazy.
Note Hungary is the only sub-tree in game with a majority copy-paste.

How the heck can the M-50 and M-51, which were in Israeli service, not be Israeli? Or the Israeli Sa’ar 3 and Sa’ar 4 class missile boats. They were all sold directly from Israel to Chile. And I mentioned many vehicles modified by Israel with their technology, including turrets and FCS. How can all of that not be Israeli?

A statement that substantiates my post. Thank you.
As I said previously, Chile should be a tech tree with Brazil.
They have more than enough vehicles, and Israel doesn’t need such a large military as a sub-tree.
Not even Hungary is as large as Chile.

Israel has Turkey and Greece as options, so leave Chile for the South American tech tree; especially since Argentina isn’t available.

its very unlikely that they will never get added, but considering gaijin seems against adding south america vehicles to israel, they likely have other plans for them, perhaps a LATAM tree

Nice, they look like Pr. 206

I am convinced there will be a LatAm tree. Smin said in a very final-sounding way that they are not considering to add any SA country to Israel. Imho they’ve already decided what they want to do with LatAm and I think it’s an independent tree. So all those vehicles will come to the game for sure.

Quick question to the Chilean enthusiasts in here?

Are your F-16’s modernized by Israel? If so, could you state how?

I think we should compile as much information on Latin American vehicles as to give a valid argument for inclusion in the Israeli tree through sheer numerical numbers and the obvious connection to Israel.

So far I know of Ecuador (my country hehe), Colombia, Chile (with the F-5 and Pantera), and Brazil.

If possible provide any semblance of a source, as we could perhaps pass this as a Mega-suggestion through the forums.

Although to be fair I have my doubts regarding the Latin American independent tech tree and subtree for Israel

Can we put not Israel together with the Middle East tree? I am very sure they have allies in Middle east.
