You might be onto something since they added that captured AMD
I think your view is half correct.
Its true that you’ll farm more points in low tier, but it will take much more time due to map sizes, vehicle speeds, CAS spams ect. than quick high tier matches due to much more mobile tanks and 1 death leavers.
We should look at the grind as a points/minute than points/match.
Bar the obvious more content at a faster rate, I dont think the increase in difficulty is a good choice. The trade-off of more but harder to obtain vehicles is not gonna be worth it atleast not for me. The events already take a lot of time and and doubling the needed amount of points would be horrible and i doubt people would want to bother.
captured AMD goes to 2.0 this next br change
35000 - 45000 points in 2 days are a Little too much especially of have to be done for 8 days straight
+++PLUS+++
Spontaneously this sounds really good!
This will create some breaks for those not wanting a particular vehicle and will overall lessen the grind needed for the things you want :)
A regular loop also makes people know what to expect and makes things easier to plan with backups and such.
-----MINUS-----
the mission score per “usually” two days sound like A LOT. an average of 40k?? that’s 20k per day. which for me as a semi-good/good player will on average be 8-9 matches per day to keep up with the event. that’s quite a lot for anyone trying to balance work/school/family and hobbies. Given my average playtime of 12min per game, add wait times and main menu things that about 15 min per match. so 8 matches at 15min per game is 2 hours per day, every day for 2,5 weeks straight. that’s a bit much don’t you think?
===General===
We’ll have to wait and se the specifics of how these events will look and work but it looks promising.
No way to know yet if this will in total be a good or bad thing.
That still doesnt sound THAT bad, but i would have to test it first and see.
there’s not more content, it’s just spread out
Just pointing out people have run these numbers before.
Which ultimately isn’t going to result in vast differences, top tier isn’t inherently going to get you more points because of a higher multiplier at the end of the day, Gaijin didn’t randomly picked those numbers either.
It doesn’t count the difference in BRs though, but following the same logic it would make sense that the aim is to balance the different BRs rather than reward the top more heavily, but perception is a powerful thing.
K2 leak would have been great data to base that kind of analysis on (for ground RB only though).
They keep pointing out that the gap between events will be “small” no specific length though so i would assume we’re gonna get content more frequently
We are players, not slaves. We are here to play games, not to work. Please drop 30k! Gaijin!
30k for top tier reward would be more reasonable and I would support that
As someone who goes to school and has a job, this isn’t going to change a thing for me considering I get to play maybe 2 sessions over the weekend, if I even get to at all.
Based on his numbers, would you rather:
-
play 4 low tier GRB games per 15 minutes giving you 17024 points/h or
-
play 6 high tier GRB games per 10 minutes giving you 19152 points/h
Even though author says its meant to equalize points between modes, i dont see any proof of that cause there is no information on how long did it take to get those points. Naval RB is an example mode, where its no different than Arcade in terms of gameplay, so you spent the same time there and recieve MUCH more points doing the same thing.
This actually sounds like a good change but Ill tell your right now that 35-45k score per task is too much. This will absolutely burn people out hard and even for those who dont want these vehicles, it means that matches will be even more filled with people event grinding using the most annoying tactics possible. You thought the f4S bomber spam was bad now, it will only get worse. I think a much better idea is to combine all of the tasks into a single score pool that can be grinded at any time during the event, which would mean not only that not everyone is grinding every 2 days, but would mean that you can leave the game for a couple of days without being punished for it
So yeah,… i can’t read,… i edited,… i’m stupid thank you,… blah blah blah,…
I mean what is the match duration based on? I don’t feel they are vastly different in length.
