R-darter and derby are the worst fox3 in the game, they don’t maneuver like the micas and r77/r77-1, they don’t have range, being inferior to the mica and much inferior to the r77-1, pl12 and aim120… they lose a lot of energy.
He is the worst of all worlds.

Unfortunately they actually should have even less range than they do now from what I’ve been told. However it should have much better close range performance, as in 50Gs and great initial pull. It’s a budget ARH missile used in export for countries which can’t afford anything else, it’s not as good as other options, but it’s seeker should be better than some of the other missiles we have based on the time period it was created, and the I-Derby would (keyword would, its copy paste on the dev rn).
The Derby is also supposed to have less seeker range which has been reported. It should be 12km instead of 16km.

Tbh r-darter isn’t super bad. I love my gripen and in a few matches when I’ve shot my missiles in bvr, I’ve got hits past 27km, they just need correct pull

The Gripen SA is the worst Gripen precisely because of the missile kit.
The Thai, Hungarian and Swedish gripen end up standing out because of the aim120, I don’t have the Thai Gripen, but I have the SA, HU and Swedish One, the SA is more fun because you need to play much more aggressively to be able to do something, and its gameplay, because it is more difficult and more intense, sometimes ends up being more rewarding.
But if we leave aside the unique factor and fun and look only at the performance, it is the worst of the Gripens
SA Gripen never carried the R-Darter irl either, it wouldn’t have been a stretch just to give it the AMRAAM and put all the 13.7 Gripens on an even playing field

sounds fun, that’s for sure… I even like the gameplay of Gripen SA, it’s really fun, and by far the most fun Gripen, but it’s also the most frustrating of them because of the R-darter’s performance.
Sometimes the missile leaves a lot to be desired.
The Thai Gripen should have this too, it would be a really cool difference, with a missile that performs well
No, as it relates to dual plane G-pull which isn’t ingame, otherwise we’d have 50G Magic 2s and 24.7G Aim-54s.
Bit of an understatement when it comes to the MICA… Not much a SA Gripen can do to a rafale when you think about it, “just keep it at BVR range” doesn’t apply, he’s faster, has a better radar, 2x your fox3 count, and has a better flight model that can pull 16Gs to notch
