Again, there is a difference between trapping and camping. You are trying to argue for the latter, since that is the only reason this whole thread applies. And no one is going to agree to giving better odds to campers.
There should be a difference.
The maps in War Thunder do not always mean that is so.
You are trying to hide behind map design as your reason for doing so. Stop blaming Gaijin for your actions.
The flow of the game exists without either of our consent. It’s up to the developers to resolve it.
That guy doesnt even care about spawn camping, look at his statisticy he only plays heli rush.
He is just salty that players immediatly spawn spaas ifvs etc and take him out. Thats the reason that clown wants a 10s spawn delay , so he doesnt die that fast.
And jokes on u Vamilad but this is on topic
Like already stated it is on topic
What are you talking about lmao! Read my comment more carefully. I think then you will understand ;)
Being anywhere near the enemy spawn as a Heli is a great way to die
I misclicked my reply it wasn’t meant to be directed at you.
This is just the tradeoff you make when you attack people within their spawn.
- You get the bonus of knowing exactly where they will be and how long you have to be able to shoot them.
- They have the bonus of immunity to damage for a short period to counter.
- They can respawn, pop in and immediately shoot you.
If you don’t like this trade off then you shouldn’t be in direct view of their spawn. As suggested by many others you can find a position that is outside of the vew of their spawn such that they can’t take advantage of their invulnerability.
At the end of the day this is a game balancing mechanic, allowing teams to recover if the enemy team is too arrogant and over-extends into the spawn prematurely.
When your team has all of the cap points you have a few options:
- Guard the cap points and wait for the tickets to drain in relative safety, picking off the enemy team as they emerge from spawn.
- Move into their spawn (or a position overlooking the spawn) and kill them as their invulnerability ends, aware that you may be easily killed if someone spawns in.
- Return to hanger and join the next game because your time is so valuable you can’t wait a few minutes for the tickets to bleed.
It’s nice to know that spawning in when your team has lost all of the points annoys some players by extending the game, I will make a point to do it more often.
Why would you not already be doing this to take advantage of spawn immunity it is quite literally guaranteed free kills
Yeah and thats your main gameplay style, heli rush, 10s delay spawn would allow u to hide again and not get shoot at directly from spaas. Statistics say u dont care about spawn camping since you are a 1 death leaver in the first place
He made a topic complaining about his heli being spawn camped at the heli pad. Take that as you will.
This thread was not created in regards to helicopter balancing.
Any helicopter near the enemy spawn is going to die. It is full of SPAAs.
It often happens when you fly high tier cas jets, that your last victim spawns a Sam launcher 1 second later and revenge kills you before you can clear off the map area.
SAMs have a range of 20km (Pantsir), so no spawn delay means they can immeadetly shot you down … A slight delay might be ok.
Yes but as a helicopter you should be able to duck down out of vision of the enemy spawn unless the map is just absolutely atrocious only time I’ve had someone snipe me cross spawn was on European Province and I wasn’t really trying to evade I was just flying low.
My main reason for wanting a spawn delay is ground combat CAS as it stands is generally too strong and doesn’t need help being harder to kill.
So we agree you don’t want the change you’re advocating for? I’m so confused.
The only CAS effected by this change would be helicopters quite literally in the enemy spawn.
There’s no reason a helicopter should survive in the enemy spawn, machine gun fire will take them down at that range. Beyond SPAA IFVs excel at removing low flying helicopters. Gaijin’s refusal to add IFVs to trees which have a multitude of variants that function quite well IRL isn’t an excuse to not remove a negative feature of the game.
If you feel like playing this game is a waste of your time, why are you playing it?
Not every match lingers pointlessly.
Most matches don’t linger at all. And my best memories of WT games are the wins eked out after a seemingly impossible recovery when all seemed lost and even your spawn was being contested. Those are the best, by far. If the game was insta-over the moment one team acquires map control, my favourite matches would have never existed, and there’d be no need for lineups.
