While their missiles are relatively quick for ATGMs, they’re still pretty bloody slow compared to contemporary rounds. 550 m/s versus ~1650 m/s.

Too bad ATGMs are terrible in the majority of War Thunder maps and the few maps they are good on, longer range maps; you can just reverse back into cover in the time it takes for them to travel.

None of these vehicles are an issue.

Despite how short it is, the firing position pretty much exposes the entire vehicle hit box and then it has two crews, which mean it goes boom when one of you crew is dead. Other ATGMS launchers can choose to only expose their turret, like M901 and AFT they can take hits to the non-critical part from the likes of apfsds as long as they are not large caliber HE, repair then return fire and repeat. The Object 775 is dogwater bro you play it, get 2.5 KD in it after 100 matches then I’ll send you 1000 GE

It’s small, it’s quick, the missile has crazy stopping power and its tandem warhead, it can fire four missiles in quick succession, the missile doesn’t dip like they are drunk, and most importantly the hull down firing position are safe from taking damage from apfsds and the turret is a small part to hit. This allows me to actually engage enemies who are aware of my presence. It can go higher if it weren’t for my 200 ping

That was my impression. I’ve played the MEPHISTO, which has a similar playstyle, but can’t really pull it off. You wouldn’t think to look at it, but the huge size of the launcher makes it way too conspicuous to actually engage people at range. All it takes is someone with a chemical round and a laser range finder, and you’re instantly dead. And while HOT-2s aren’t the worst missiles, they aren’t anything special either. They’re clunky and awkward to use.

That being said, I’ve just unlocked the ZT3A2, which is supposedly much improved and now one of the better ATGM vehicles. I’ll have to see how well that works.

Just a curiosity, how would you know how those survive against khrizantema since you dont have it or any of your listed mbt’s :D
I can tell you, there is a huge % of change that any of top mbt’s survive any atgm launcher especially on top tier.
I can also tell that a7 and 122+ is biggest troll ever on any atgm, no matter is it from ground vehicle or helo.
Even in my clickbait I’ve survived multiple atgm from soviets when being hulldown.

except in modern WT its more like 0/10 armor and 3/10 weapon

It’s definitely an upside as it allows you to engage tanks that are fully concealed, so you’re dealing damage basically for free.

it’s not, because you give an extreme amount of lethality to do so. You are, once everything is accounted for, worse off using the 2B. It is not common to know where a tank is, know he’s static behind cover, for YOU to be in a position to engage safely, and for you to be able to launch a 2B into his roof. Russian MBTs will tank multiple hits before they even start to take damage sometimes as well.

I’ve commonly stumbled upon hiding tanks that have nothing but antennas or few pixels of optics showing. In those scenarios it’s definitely a good thing to have top-down missile with you.

Now that you can reload missiles without needing to fire already loaded ones it got even better.
