Rank 6 looks like it can have planes from ~8.3 and up, it might be quite good tier for tier (as always I’m of the opinion that you should wait to see how things perform before buying) and as a rank 6 it’ll be able to grind most of the tech tree as well. As a point of comparison the Dutch Hunter F.6 has 2 9Bs at 9.0 iirc

Depend on BR. I like my radar in the SHar and up and it handy in the Sea Vixen or Javelin. But in something like the Hunter F6, I get a long just fine without radar. Its actaully good to be comfortable without radar. Makes you look out more and take more care when engaging targets. having good VID skills is handy even with a good radar.
Its a bit annoying to play without IFF when you have long (longish) ranged missiles that can engage in front aspect. Like it sucked to not have IFF for a while on the SHar and the Gr7 is really a pain to play. But lower BR stuff, especially when few have radar themselves. Its fine.
Though with that CAS payload, id be looking to make use of that and less so dogfighting

I still won’t buy since it doesn’t fit my current play style.

As a German main who’s highest TT plane is the Bf 109 G-14 at 5.3 (apart from that I have the squadron Me 262 and the Swiss Hunter), the P-16 will make a fine addition to my 8.3/8.7 ground Lineup.
Also getting a pay raise at work in the past couple of days DOES NOT help this decision at all lmao

Even for gun runs I like to have IFF. Especially if I am intercepting with vastly larger speed differences. That brief moment of insecurity “is it within name tag distance already?” is too much of a nuisance.
They’re Laser guided, so the operator picks the spot on the vessel to hit, so probably not.
Weird that they are calling what are effectively laser guided S-8 rockets ASMs…
Unless the ASM in this case is Air to Surface Missile instead of Anti Ship Missile.

We wouldn’t be having that problem with the Martels if they were implemented correctly instead of being glorified Mavericks
Yeah… That is kinda half the problem and I had to link flames bug report on guidance method in my report about them missing naval targets to deal with “you must submit documents on how this missiles performs IRL” comments

can you say something about the br of the p-16? I know that it might change but at what it is currently placed
