Same thing for why finland used the t55m over the t72. The belgian round, upgraded fcs and other parts made the vehicle more responsive and better as a trainer. Also way cheaper to upgrade more of then T55’s than the T72. Same thing for when finland upgraded the 2a4 to fire HE, the thermals were upgraded to gen 2 also.
Hungary air still waiting for their pre-WW2 and WW2 planes. Luckily for Italy, their last chance for TT heavy tank would be Hungarian IS-2 or IS-3M
