CV 9035DK (Strf 9035 MK III)

U should bug report the ammo count 35 round belt when it should be 70 round belt

I just played it, it has 2 belts of 35 rounds each

Also i heard in an intervjue that the older models (A/B/C - Mk II/III) can only be fitted with a new turret but nothing else from the latest generation (Mk IV) because of the hull itself and its older technology. Even if we would like to send in our older CV’s they wouldnt be able to upgrade them any further than changing to the D turret and thats the end of the line. No more upgrades after that. Which i think is fair considering the new leap into better hulls and other factors.

It will be interesting to see what Sweden will precure for their next IFV, Generation IV or V… This one (Mk III C) is only temporary to fill in the gaps.

Think it’s called CV90 Mk5 for now, obviously might be changed later to something else

The one Sweden has just purchased is called “CV9035 MkIII C”.

@ChefViken
As far as i understand it the base is set as the one Sweden will use going forward with the base being MkIII and 35mm canon (it would be odd to buy a minimum of 50 for a “temporary” variant). Sweden has however always had a philosophy of upgrading in small increments where needed (just look at the JAS39 and how many upgrades it has gotten over the years) instead of making one big MLU or buying a whole new vehicle.
So its very possible for Sweden to upgrade their New CV90’s as the years go on but i believe that the version now ordered is the one Sweden will use going forward.

Personally i would love to see some of them sent to Ukraine (Which is already public that they will) for combat testing of the new variant AND then going forward more of the CV9040B/C sent as we slowly replace them with the new variant.

refeering to the design that sweden is currently working on to replace the current CV90s, not the one they are buying temporarily

As far as i have seen its not temporary though.

Been a while since i read up on it but the MkIII C is just a quick way to replace the CV90s that’s been sent as aid, since there’s already factories available for it that can quickly produce it

But if i remember correctly the actual design they plan to use is an upgraded variant of the CV90MkIV
We’d have to wait and see in that case how that turns out

ya you can switch between the two belts but can have 35mm APFDS belts set up for bot it the problem

Also, these will have the APS and spike or whatever missle they want on the turret

The pre production testing began in October last year. and then the order was put in 28 days ago.

But then there is also this which makes me confused.

While looking around on this (both for my suggestion post that’s waiting to be approved and now) i’m more confused than ever on what the plan is XD

Where did you read that they can choose which missile?

I am assuming here, but probably wrong in doing that.

They have other missle options that they can chose from

heh, easily done x)

that is however the question we are trying to figure out; Can the MkIII use akeron missiles if its fitted with the new “D-serries” turret or is it exclusive to the MkIV version with the new turret?

Ah I see, well I guess we will have to wait and see until Sweden officially receives its order of IFV whenever that is

We will have to wait and see but i do believe AKeron can be fitted aslong as its the new D turret. Other than that i am trying to get my bug reports through, tried the vehicle today and its a shame we cant use proxy/ABM ammunition for the time being. I emailed the danish “forsvaret” in search for more info regarding the DAS/LWS but i dont have much hope in that regard.

I also noticed our APSFDS types does very little damage to other IFVs…The chinese QN5xxx took almost a whole magazine from my cv9040 and survived being able to counter and kill me instead. TOTALY biased and wrong.

So, did anyone try this thing out in test drive?
the API-T is questionably good

Doesnt really peak my interest, imo its a 9.3 tank at best, the handling is kinda mid imo though leagues better than the cv9030, besides it doesnt have a lineup also the gun is meh, not really worth buying imo since its just not a very good ifv at 9.7. Honestly the gun alone on the cv9040 and the HE-VT makes it worth 9.7 but i prefer it the C version for just mobility alone.

I just noticed that the dual feed system dont work when you use one type of ammunition. Sigh i will have to make more bug reports…

Nah not all that
the API-T round is essentially 1 shot if you manage to pen, i think they messed it up
