They removed the naval flags in the statcards for ships on the dev btw. Perhaps the South Vietnam flag is selectable now for the us

Then others complained. I doubt they did it for no reason.
Technically ROC flag should be the default flag for China and since Tier III should be unlocked the PRC flag (the tier when you start unlocking PRC tanks)

Yeah, it’s weird how Germany is still stuck with the WWII default flag while China gets the modern day PRC flag despite the first PRC vehicles not being reserve.
For ground the first PRC vehicle is an Su-76 that can be be researched after the M8 HMC, while for air it’s only at Rank 4 with the La-11, Il-10 and Tu-2S.
Damn, two months later. Gaijin still doesn’t have anything to say.
@Smin1080p_WT Is Gaijin still finding a way to discuss this or are you (the mods) just redirecting everyone here to contain posts about it? Its kind of ridiculous two months later we still haven’t received any official word from you (Gaijin), it wasn’t addressed in the BVVD Q&A either.

Since everyone keeps saying that the “China” in the game represents both the PRC and ROC combined, then I suggest replacing the flag with the “Five Races Under One Union” flag. That way it stays neutral—neither favoring the PRC nor the ROC
All flags and vehicle markings should use this one instead
However, the ROC and PRC national flags should remain available as decals
I don’t know how many people would support this idea but I think it’s one of the neutral approaches.

To neutralize between the two China’s I’ve just simply turned the flag off out of respect for both nations within the Chinese tech tree.

I think it looks too empty without a flag, so as long as I can’t match the flag to my lineup it’ll just be Vietnam

Republic of Vietnam - no problem .
GDR - No problem.
Russian Empire - No Problem
But Taiwan flag? Big problem as it turns out for some reason
