RoC flag is legitimate, the only problem is that a region claims the flag as its own illegally, which means the flag can be only determined as a regional flag now.
China usually designs a new flag for states with partial autonomy, like Macau and Hong Kong, but only that region refuses so…
Maybe because your are still at war, because you never signed a peace treaty?
Since they (or including you?) denied their (Taiwan) existance then their vehicle will also won’t be exist in their POV because Beijing didn’t agreed or acknowledge to those arms deal
Hard to say, the politics about that place is quite complicate. Two parties of that region holds different ideas, one admits itself belonging to mainland, while the other… they neither admit nor deny politically.
But it does reminds me a fun fact: PRC never signed a peace treaty with Japan, because it’s RoC who signed it.
I mean, what would you prefer they do? They are, at least in a literal sense, the continuation of the ROC under the leadership of Chiang Kai-Shek.
but it not,It seems rather difficult to explain in English
I shouldn’t be saying this as a Chinese but, one possible way is that they design a new flag as regional flag, so the ROC one can be recognize as a historical national flag and added to game.
Also talking about the continuation of ROC, AFAIK, the Kuomintang party there still admits itself as part of PRC, the real problem is DPP, with ambiguous attitude towards the issue, but usually is opposed to Kuomintang’s stand, making the relationship between both sides of the Straits a controversial one.
he has always wanted to return to mainland, but the current ruling party does not hold this view
As a workaround then, you have the ROC flag to represent the ROC between 1921-1949 (Or 1971 depending on what you think of the UN) and then post 1949 (Or 1971) You have a different flag that represents taiwan or at least its geopolitical status as it stands today?
No offense, but in my opinion, having a regional flag would be even worse. The ROC flag is still regarded as the flag of China, and introducing a Taiwan regional flag would only create more controversy.
Also, a small correction: the KMT acknowledges that Taiwan is part of China, but not specifically the PRC. The KMT’s stance is that Taiwan and the mainland are both part of one China and should eventually be unified, though the form that unification would take has yet to be decided.
Indeed, but my opinion is that the continuous of China/RoC is not decided by which flag TW uses, but the party that be in power. If Kuomintang holds the power, then changing a flag wouldn’t affect its claim that TW is part of China and will be eventually unified. But if DPP is in charge, changing the flag would cause great problem…
See, what I’d do is use the flag that taiwan uses in its representative offices worldwide on the basis that taiwan has been democratic for a few decades now & yet they’ve seen no reason to change their flag.
I understand that this may cause some consternation however I think it’d be irresponsible not to account for the feelings of the taiwanese by giving them a flag that they feel does not represent them.
I think since the Chinese tech tree already has Taiwan vehicles, it makes sense for them to have their own flag.Similarly, other tech trees receive fair treatment, even if the country no longer exists, such as the Russian Empire. We should not treat Taiwan this way. Moreover, he is now a normal country, and his flag should be on the technology tree.
Well this is more likely a domestic issue.
To explain that, you can assume TW’s government is divided into 2 groups by whether supporting unification or not (not 100% proper but this somehow reflects the reality).
If the unify group goes to 100%, then there is no need for quarrel cause the flag no longer leads to political controversy.
And if the disunify group goes too high, then there is still no need for quarrel cause:
1.This group will definitely change the flag, so RoC flag is no longer involved into politics.
2.A hot war might break out.
The problem is this two group now is about 50-50, making both solutions not acceptable.
no roc flag until germany gets its ww2 flag
This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.
This one might be an issue due to Russian (and many others) law banning any use of the swastika in video games. This is also why the Finnish roundels were censored, despite having nothing to do with Nazi ideals.
That being said, they could still make a censored version of the national flag to replace the censored war flag used now.
and china bans using the roc flag as a national flag post 1949. hence no roc flag until we get the proper german ww2 flag
Exactly, there is no problem with the ww2 german national flag as long as it doesn’t have the no-no symbol in it.
We know this because it’s already in the game. (I can’t recall if these are 3d flags for naval or just decals)

Just write “China Taiwan” for the regional name of the Blue Sky, White Sun in the Taiwan region. Why is there so much trouble?
