Is not the world that says who gets to be represented ingame, but the developer and its consumers (us).
And one of the biggest consumer groups choose to obey that with pretty steady attitude while other consumer groups are forbidden to disobey de jure so that’s it.

No, not really. I like that function, but it should include the RoC flag as it uses RoC vehicles. What it more hilarious than that is that chinese player are drooling on the possibility of getting the M1A2T from a “illegitimate state”. For that i have one solution, add it to the US tree.

That is simply not true.
Aside from this statement ignoring basic laws for freedom of expression in most of the world, the politically neutral option, which Gaijin claim to take, would be to allow both based on player decision. This complies with one China, as it only allows for one China to be selected at a time, as well as following the majority of nations recognizing PRC through having it as the nations default.
You just said that Gaijin is known to make stupid decisions, and now you claim that the function is not stupid just because you like it?
You do know that even around 2021, there are still quite a player base who though nerfing economic is good0 and they liked it right?
IMO there is no need to quarrel if gaijin made wrong decisions, since nobody can predict the future, and yet gaijin is only a company that makes both brilliant and stupid moves (maybe stupid ones more often but who knows).

If RoC is illegitimate, all vehicles sourced from it are also illegitimate and shouldnt be in the game. Its a simple concept really.

@TennoOwO In my experience, it may be different for you but in MY experience, those who are against the proper implementation & representation of the ROC are FAR more venomous & vitriolic than those who are in favour of the ROC being properly implemented.
It’s all very well going “certain people will use the flag to rile people up” however this is hard to accept when certain people get so spiteful over the mention of a territory.

RoC flag is legitimate, the only problem is that a region claims the flag as its own illegally, which means the flag can be only determined as a regional flag now.
China usually designs a new flag for states with partial autonomy, like Macau and Hong Kong, but only that region refuses so…
Maybe because your are still at war, because you never signed a peace treaty?

Since they (or including you?) denied their (Taiwan) existance then their vehicle will also won’t be exist in their POV because Beijing didn’t agreed or acknowledge to those arms deal

Hard to say, the politics about that place is quite complicate. Two parties of that region holds different ideas, one admits itself belonging to mainland, while the other… they neither admit nor deny politically.
But it does reminds me a fun fact: PRC never signed a peace treaty with Japan, because it’s RoC who signed it.

I mean, what would you prefer they do? They are, at least in a literal sense, the continuation of the ROC under the leadership of Chiang Kai-Shek.
