Yeah this makes me the most mad about this whole mess, it is client side, and language mods exist, even ingame you can set your language, also take a wild guess what is in the language list with the correct flag

Being able to buy and place flag decals of PRC/RoC on every tank is okay but a client side option to change flags is too far?

As long as Gaijin don’t specify to what China and just labelled it as China then it won’t be a problem, this also the way of all countries deal with “One China policy” IRL, “One China with respective interpretations（一中各表）”

I’m hoping it shows the selected nations in game so whenever Poland/Canada appear, it’s a guessing game on which nation it is.

You’d be correct. The USSR in theory could be turned into Poland though it’s soviet originated equipment and Poland did operate Renault tanks so France could be another option, not sure about any other possible Pole-ification candidates.

The P-47 is a Polish Pilot’s, but it’s an American air force operated aircraft
They already made this change on the on dev server, it is no longer “Republic China”, just “China”.
I will stay out of technicalities and focus on the bigger picture: vehicles that historically operated under ROC should be represented by the ROC national flag, and it is imperative that this flag be made available as an option in the tech tree customization feature. All of this for reasons of consistency and historical accuracy, among others.
While it isn’t exactly my wish, I won’t mind if they’re all called “China” as long as we get the correct flags. I believe this is the most reasonable compromise position.
