Let’s compare with CS/SA5 and Pantsir.
Missiles: Hot garbage. Can’t even hit fixed-wings making mild turns in test drive. Slow speed, low G-load, tiny warhead, plus that cursed climb-then-fall trajectory .
Autocannon: Hot garbage. Gatling needs spin-up time. Firing creates massive smoke blocking your view. Dispersion at range is worse than a tank’s. Barely any fixed-wings do low-altitude runs at top tier anyway. Mainly used for ground pounding, but with terrible dispersion and NO APFSDS? Hot garbage .
Traverse: Hot garbage. Would be tolerable if missiles or cannon were decent, but they aren’t. Stock traverse is slower than a Leopard 2’s dual-axis stabilizer. Combined with its clown missiles, prepare to eat dirt in stock grind .
Verdict: Hot garbage. Useless against air. Against ground? Only 65mm pen AP – tickling top-tier MBT sides (except Ram, Leclerc, 99A) ."
the development team did not make an effort on the “minor nation” china minor nation lol, in short as you said the missile lofts too much, the missile anticipates too much the intinerais of an enemy plane resulting in the missile leaving and turning directly at 90 to the left (HUGE loss of energy) TY-90 has a seeker more solid than the FB10 (big joke) it is supposed to have IIR

The radar refresh rate is way slower than the antenna rotation speed – like three times slower. This causes constant ghosting in 3rd person view, failing to lock, locking thin air, or missing targets completely.
The IR missiles are painfully slow and have utterly ridiculous guidance logic. Whether the target is close or far, they have to do the climb-then-fall trajectory. This means they either fail like TY-90 can’t fight close-face target, or in close tail chases they climb too hard and can’t pull down in time (worse than a Stinger).

CS/SA5 current implementation is just confusing.
I already said it in different thread, it is very clearly supposed to supplement TOR/HQ17 as SHORAD.

But then you get IR only missiles, with only 20G pull (which will never hit a top tier jet) and allaspect lock-on range of 9km (which i hardly believe it will achieve due to how warthunder models IR signatures)
And it sits ABOVE TOR/HQ17.
I mean whats the point?
This thing should be around same BR as Tunguska if that, depending on whats the real lock-on range of the missiles.
Perhaps our friends in the West or Russia can understand that certain outcomes are inevitable given the gap in the foundation of our electronics and information industry. If there are preconceived biases or positioning issues, they should be completely eliminated or deprioritized—not used to disgust Chinese players here.

Ive seen bad implementations (example : hellfires a few years back) , but this takes the No1 spot for worst missile implementation.
The CS/SA5’s capabilities are clearly mismatched for a 12.0 battle rating. More critically, this vehicle’s performance has not been authentically recreated at all - it merely replicates the visual appearance, while its operational capabilities are fundamentally inconsistent with historical accuracy and tier-appropriate standards.
