Crew Skills Need to Be Removed

That is for realistic. If they play arcade, you get a different picture.
With the US, I had completed all air, ground and naval trees. Most of it in arcade. Of the 9 crews I have, 9 are maxed in air, 7 are maxed at naval, the remaining 2 are at 97 and 72, and 5 are maxed at tanks, the remaining ones are 148, 141, 139, 10. Obviously, by now I do waste a lot of crew XP, because I earn much on crews that are fully maxed.
I never spend GE on US crew XP. Why should I?

Imho you might reconsider your view on f2p games.

I quote myself from another thread:

The sole purpose of offering a f2p is to circumvent the entry barrier of a full price game and half price updates. Just in order to get easy access to minors with micro-transactions in order to lure them to annoy their parents later to buy some high price packs later.

That’s how the whole industry is designing games, just go to yt and search for f2p game mechanics - you find a lot of vids with highly detailed descriptions which kind of player types can be caught with which offers. From a holistic pov the pure f2p players serves just as potential victim of paying players - and to fill lobbies.

Any argument based on shares of f2p players and paying players is therefore pure nonsense. First as pure f2p players are just a byproduct of the design and second as without a detailed analysis of income steams of paying players (which is not available) it is impossible to make reliable claims.

No doubt about the hook, line, sinker component.

It’s just odd that people expect that they can continue to play an online game with all if its features, and never have to pay a penny. It’s not realistic. Then they cry, “Pay-to-win!”

Without incentives to pay, none of us would be playing this game.

Yeah,. it’s the same old boring argument how the ‘game needs to make money’ so anything is justified.

You also play more than 99% of the players so as usual you’re not representative.

I mean… yeah? This is a thread about a suggestion for the game to change from what it is right NOW to something else.

If crew skills are removed 5 years hence, then at that point, if someone posted the same thread, I’d say “Huh? Are you confused?”

It would be UNFAIR making me grind with weaker crew for years and now let you get all the benefits asap.

No, everyone was treated the same 5 years ago. Everyone would be treated the same next week (if they changed it). Everyone would be treated the same 5 years from now. That guy had the same opportunity you did to join earlier, and you also had the same opportunity he did to join later.

So wait… Do you really expect to progress at the same rate as a player who pays to play?

Progression is not the same as pay to win.

Call it what you want. These games aren’t free.

Neither is it free to run football games or chess tournaments. Yet again I ask you why is it then that curiously, none of these wildly successful enterprises have ONE SINGLE pay to win feature in them? Don’t you find that awfully strange? They aren’t free to run. Surely they could use the funding. Why do they have ZERO of these paid advantages within the game in them?

So wait… Do you really expect to progress at the same rate as a player who pays to play?

This thread is not about progress to new content, which is perfectly fine to pay for since it has no unfairness or lopsided results in game. It’s about unfair advantages within one game. It could be both players’ 5th game ever after the bot part when you start, and one of them can pay to have a wildly imbalanced set of advantages in the game rules over the other

I don’t see it in War Thunder. There’s much worse offenders out there than this game.

For the data I have given, it doesn’t matter how much I play!
I am refering to the completion of the three main US trees. If you do that in arcade (no matter how fast or slow), you will be able to max all initial free crews long before you’ve done the trees.

I don’t see it in War Thunder.

So your new strategy to defending your obvious, objective, un-earned, unfair advantage over others is “nananananana I can’t hear you”? Very mature.

Yes, I’m sure you “can’t see” that your reload rate is like 30% faster, your turret swings faster than everyone else’s, you always get your crew back first when you and another guy trade shots, you seem to know where enemies are much sooner, yeah just REAL unobservant, that’s it. Sure.

By the way: if you “can’t see it” and don’t think it’s real, then 1) why did you even put crew points into your crews in the first place? and 2) Why would you care at all if all players get full crew skills for free, if you don’t think they even do anything?

Assuming that’s even remotely true, you’re only 1 third of the way in RB.

All the crew features I use, I earned with play time. 🤷‍♂️

Wait, hold on, earned WHAT? You just said 2 minutes earlier that you “Can’t see any advantages in War Thunder”

Now suddenly you do see them and you earned them? Which is it? Do you have advantages or do you not see any advantages? Now you’re just straight up lying and contradicting yourself.

Okay, now you’re taking my statements way out of context to suit your argument.

I said what I had to say. Carry on.

Curiously you can’t seem to explain HOW I “took them out of context”. Because, you know, I didn’t.

I’m not here to play games with you, or explain the obvious because you want to take thing out of context.

You win the day. Congratulations! 👌

The “obvious” is that reloading your gun much faster and 20 other things like it is obviously a massive advantage. And the “obvious” is that you cannot simultaneously care about defending a feature but also say the feature doesn’t matter. That’s what people do when they have a dirty secret or advantage they don’t want people to look at and find out about and just want the spotlight to go away so they can go back to playing unfairly.

“Oh yeah there’s nothing in that closet” “So then you wouldn’t mind–” “NO NO don’t go in, haha … hah. Why would you want to? It’s sooooo boring in there” “But I do want to–” “NOOO don’t be silly it’s just air!” desperately throws whole body in front of closet door
