We need to create a better system for crew locks. I got my wing cut off because a tomcat with swept out wings hit me in the furball, he was a teammate. He received zero damage while I crashed into the ground because (surprise!!) you can’t fly with one wing. For some reason I got crew locked after this, It was nobody’s fault, we were both preoccupied so I don’t see why I should be punished for it.
I need you guys to help me out with ideas on how to solve issues like these.
Dude no way it happened again 💀 this time an enemy F-16 took a head on with me last minute and clipped my wing off without taking any damage, he didn’t use guns idk what he was doing. I got crew locked again. Is this a new feature? This has literally never happened to me before and now it’s happened twice within one day.
You get crewlocked when you die too quickly in a match, but not when you are teamkilled. There is no system in place to detect teamkills outside of blatantly shooting an aircraft down.
It was later in the match, the crew lock was only 2 minutes long.
Isn’t there’s a system for if an ally crashes into you on takeoff they get penalized?
Things in war are not fair. Change your tactics based on what you have learned.

The problem is there is not a good was to determine whether or not it was an intentional crash.
They have to stop intentional crashing because people could theoretically just leave a match if they get uptiered, which is unfair to all the other teamates who at bare minimum need bait.
Technically you could detect if two players crashed into each other but then not giving the lock to both either means one player gets away with it or crashing into teamates is again a viable way to get out of upteirs.
The only kind of crew lock prevention that is kinda acceptable is if they crash because of external factors like packet loss, but then again, that just means any time you want to get out of an upteir you would just disconnect your wifi.
In the end, there is not really a better way per say. The best option would be to reduce the time, which is arbitrary anyway.
Or if they got golan heights… man I hate that map
You’re definitely right though this is more of a venting post than anything, I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or any ideas to fix it. It just seems like a hard to fix system that could result in many exploits and bugs if it was changed.
