Crashing when Tabbing out

Hey so ive been having this issue for a while so ill get straight to the point.
Very often when tabbing out my game freezes and I need to force kill it with task manager.

PC specs:
Ryzen 7 3700x
32gb ddr4 ram
rx 6800 gpu
game is on nvme ssd

Playing on 1080p 144hz monitor (only monitor)

Graphics Settings:

This has been happening for around a year now, so things like dx12 and motion blur are definitely not the cause. This is also the only game thats encountering such issues, other more demanding games like cyberpunk with raytracing on has no issues. When the game works performance is good I get 100-150 frames depending on the maps etc etc.

But yeah please help ive been struggling with this for a while now and I have no idea where to look now.

Also good to add its completely random, sometimes doesn’t happen at all, another day it will happen ever single time I tab out and anywhere in between. Same conditions, same background apps running no difference in conditions at all and no clear indicator of cause

It’s been happening to me for half a year and gaijin is not fixing it. Dozens of users have done bug reports, and gaijin simply ignores them.
Do not give your money to this company.

Having this issue too. Curiously the CPU usage drops down and fluctuates between 0~5% when the freeze occurs. Graphic driver updates do not help, as do any other graphics setting adjustments. One detail of note is that the error seems to occur more frequently when the game has been running for a long time, or when i have been alt-tabbing frequently. However other times the game will also just crash as soon as I start up and reach the hanger.

Got the same problem for a while now… dont have this problem in any other game so it has to be on WT right?!

I’d try turn off the shadowplay equivalent for AMD/ATi and see if that’d do anything.

I feel this is affecting me now somehow.

I’ve ended up coming back in from tabbing, to a black screen, which seems like it’s a fraction of the true resolution, and moving the mouse a bit does change the image a bit but it’s all messed.

I alt-f4ed and closed it to restart, but I feel this is related.
