You had so many chances to get it. From the event, then it was in warbonds couple times, it was in the gamba crates. But i agree we should get the more modern variants like M-34 not just the early ones with M-17 engines.
The TB-3 was given away as a reward vehicle for the 2013 Winter Magic!, the 2014 War Thunder’s birthday, and the 2022 War Thunder’s 10th Anniversary events.
Now which M-34 variant would you choose?
AM-34R as the rest were just one of prototypes other than the base AM-34.
On the same level as “Dreams Come True” vehicles
Can’t even wallet one into your hands via the ̶ ̶b̶l̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶m̶a̶r̶k̶e̶t̶ ̶ gaijin market.
Well, I got one.
Also, hear me out TB-1 when. Gaijin pls. And the OG TB-7
A folder Pe-8 would be pretty nice to see around
And TB-1 has variants itself.
Like a floatplane TB-1 to demolish your airspeed to 3km/h

I am reading now that the M-82s were incompatible with the engine nacelle turrets so they had to be removed. But Pe-8 ig have M-82s and gun turrets in the nacelles. So again Frankenstein from Gaijin, should change the engines to AM-35s then
Well, PAK puma would basically fix German techtree that has 0 light tanks from 4.0 to 6.0 (ir 6.3, can’t remember) range. But it’s locked behind an extreme paywall.
This is just Gaijin’s hilariously bad decision making in flesh.
Nothing is accidental
Let’s see how expensive is the PAK puma!
A little more than half of Argentina’s minimum salary
But still, while this is stupid (much like american M8), its even more stupid than TB-3’s rarity, it was one of the most widely deployed “heavy” bombers of the USSR.
Damn thats cheap,it got so low. It used to be 250 GJN
Out of any of these, the most reliable ones are the crates (which are the worst way in my opinion, no way im sinking +2M SL for a remote chance at a vehicle, let alone the vehicle you really want.) and the warbond shop, which then you need to pray that in that pool of low tier premiums the TB-3 will be chosen, if not, wait 3 months and roll again.
So what’s the point of researching, taking part of a event to get said vehicle if it could return later? The only thing I like about event vehicle is because they should be exclusive, will be my fault if I miss the vehicle I wanted, it’s not up to the game to change its mechanics just for me to get it. Just like the A-34, the TB-3 is a gift exclusive vehicle part of the earliest moments of development of War Thunder environment, it’s a gift, it shouldn’t return.
There’s a suggestion post for returning event vehicles at Acquiring old event vehicles after the fact if you want to support a similar idea.
I don’t mean we should recieve the exact same TB-3, just if we can receive a normally accesible TB-3 variant to use.
Just a T-34, with a little lamp, but specially the “prototype” in the name and thus can be recognized.
Maybe og TB-3 can keep the green color and normal TB-3s receive a white coat and plenty of visual differences, even a different BR to keep the TB-3M-17-32 as a special plane.
While I actively support it next with the " Operation R.E.L.I.C. " suggestion, There’s nothing to stop adding a normal TB-3 to be more accesible and even more viable (Later TB-3s improved speed, defensive armament and climbrate)
TB-3 will not care a damn thing, it doesn’t even have a market whose prices will suffer from extra TB-3s.
Honestly I kinda hope they do the boxes again every 5 years like they did for the 10 year anniversary, I was lucky enough to get the M8 for the US but not the TB, I got that out of a crate
There is quite many event vehicles which are available only as drops from SL loot boxes. Just like the TB-3. Not to mention the wiki can also define things like battle pass vehicles which you can buy from marketplace as “premium gift” vehicles.
the reason why it’s so hard to obtain is because the combat efficiency of this aeroplane is so low that honestly Gaijin cannot justify putting it into the tech tree or giving it a GE Price
so it was chosen to add as an event prize, one that’s quite hard to get now several years after the event
+1 for the return of older event / hidden stuff
