Honestly Gaijin should have stopped at KH29TD, its a good comparison missile to the AGM65F. IR guidance and no IOG. And even the KH29TD has a larger warhead and higher speed than the maverick. I don’t understand why Gaijin added the KH38 if there’s no counterpart for NATO. It’s bizare the more I do research on these weapons lol.

i said it and i will say it many time: we are going into a era where every tech tree will have its weakness shown. from usa missing strikes option to nato having only 1 top tier plane.
we cant balance them if like germany stop making good cas and only use cruise missile who are not in game

adding the KH38MT almost two years ago was pure insanity and even now with a lot more FNF helis and Spice bombs its still questionable. Especially when they flat out said that they didn’t want to add mmW seekers (tri-mode) which is the primary guidance method most western AGMs have nowadays…

I disagree though, because the options do exist.
Like AGM-84 or SAL Brimstone 2. Both of these should have come at least a year ago

Adding the Su-34 in teh same update they badly justified massively nerfed Brimstone 1s on a fairly weak strike platform, was the most BS decision they ever made

Remember we are talking about an era where Pantsir just completely outranged AGM-65, whilst KH-38MT could be fired beyond the range of everyone else top tier SAMs. Heck not all nations even had top tier SAMs,
AGM-84 at least had range, a decent warhead and most important IOG, that would at least give it some value.
But soviets having both the best fixed wing CAS, arguably some of the best helis and by far the best SPAA was just BS.
If they got KH-38MT level weapons, everyone else should have had Pantsirs to balance it out, whilst the best they had once something ADATS level

The seeker that has been photographed certainly isn’t a Laser one so it can’t be MLE.
Allow me to introduce you to the AGM-53 condor:
Limited airframes however, but at least for the US, the A-6E (SWIP I guess) can carry it, making it similar to the Su-25SM3. For a better airframe, potentially the F-14, maybe (with some imagination) Gaijin can even reserve it for the F-14D. This thing is pretty much the closest thing to the Kh-38MT I could find, however sadly only US (and maybe if Gaijin allows the A-7 to carry it, it could go into more countries). The only other options I think will be rocket assisted bomb type weapons, but of course those are not as comparable due to speed.
This missile is at least very much real.

I mean isn’t every single transmission in the game currently modeled off of the t34’s transmission which leads to several dozen different tanks underperforming in acceleration due to things specific to their transmissions not being modeled in game. The game uses a lot of work arounds to make systems function so this wouldn’t be too insane of an idea tbh. Also the KH38 is nothing else should function more like the seeker head on the ASM2, which is more radar guided in until its IR seeker head activates at a shorter distance, granted I also thing gajins handling of sea skimming missiles is stupid and should be reworked.
dude unfortunately thats not how these things work, you cant just pick and choose. The seeker could be a mockup also, because the missile in that photograph is literally labelled x-38mle.

I think you need to accept x-38mt isn’t real, in many senses.
In the literal sense no x-38mt exists as it was made as an export project and the only fake mockup was a x-38mle.
As for the other senses, only x-38mle existed as an actually real missile. The only x-38mte was a fake mockup, I have a very large suspicion that the 38mte mockup is actually a 38mle mockup because it has cut fins
In all reality it doesn’t matter is the missile is real or not, because gaijin has made it pretty care they don’t care about the community and will do whatever they want with the game.
I just think what would be more productive instead of coping and dying on the hill of an pretty obviously fake missile would be actually proposing a solution of things for other countries which will balance top tier all round.
GBU-53/B, SPEAR 3, Storm Shadow, Popeye, KD-88, etc are all things we should already have ingame to make all nations have the same capability

Only storm shadow and KD-88 match the KH38, and typhoons and rafale can only carry two storm shadows at once. Spear 3 is tiny and the rest are subsonic. There are no counterparts to the way KH38 is used. So it’s impossible to balance.
You are right, but you can carry a lot more SDB II and SPEAR 3 than you can carry x-38.
It’s kind of the most realistic solution, because gaijin will never nerf or remove the x-38mt, we just need ways to give other nations the same competitiveness.
If you have like 16 or even 20 SDB II on a F-15E, I’d argue that’s more than enough to be the same competitiveness as a 8x x-38mt. Same with SPEAR 3.
Then Storm Shadow can also be on tornado gr.4 and a-200c, (still only 2). But in total you could have 4x Storm Shadow in a lineup, or 2x and 18x SPEAR 3.
Obviously in think the numbers should be kept down a little, so maybe only 12 SPEAR 3 on a typhoon and same with F-15E
