I think Gaijin said no because the real brimstone uses radar and can see through smoke. But all players are asking for is F&F to match the KH38.

Yeah… Spice are an Okay stopgap, but the Mach 1 release limit makes them near useless on a Typhoon half the time.
Brimstones are well overdue given the performance of the KH-38MT.
But regardless of FnF, the fact we are also still artifiically limited to Brimstone 1s is just stupid. 2s or 3s would be a notable upgrade. Even if they remain artificially limited to SAL.
There is also Spear-3, even limited to GNSS with 0 drift, theyd have a use

except, the F&F mode doesn’t use IR, but MMW-ARH,… completely different.
people reference IR as a substitute to MMW, because Gaijin does not want to add that kind of guidance.

Gaijin: We gelded Brimstone with Laser-Gudiance only because it is historical. We just fried the circuit to disable MMw seeker. Because it will be OP

Also, Gaijin: adds Su-34, which can fire 6 Kh-38 in the same update and claims it is fine because IR-FnF seeker ‘can be countered by smokes’
Gaijin(Probably): No, we are not gonna give you the IR-FnF version of Brimstone because it is unhistorical.
Brimstone never had an IR Seeker IRL.
Also, Gaijin(Before): We were happy to introduce the AN/ALE-40 countermeasure pod on our newly introduced F-5C premium jet. Thanks to cooperation from our beloved Chinese playerbase, who provided that the ROCAF F-5A were wired with those, we will give the USA version of F-5A/C countermeasure pods too. Even though the USAF didn’t install those CM pods on those, technically, it can. So it won’t be a problem.
So, No. We will never gonna get the IR FnF version of Brimstone.

Forum community threw a giant hissy fit about a missile that allegedly has fake seeker.
Same community wants to give another missile fake seeker that will most likely come with more artificial limitations.

it’s not “probably” it have been asked before, and it was refused for that reason.
I will be totally fine if Kh-38 is removed, but do you believe in that? I think not.
One is a complete fabrication and the other one is a downgrade, because the real existing seeker is too good for the game. Not really the same situation now, is it? One wouldnt need a fake seeker if it wasnt for Gaijin
