Gaijin if you see this please change the convoy and ground battle AA into SPAA that actually has radar bands that the majority of the ARM’s can actually see and target. At the moment the ZA-35 uses D band which hardly any missile uses and the convoys spawn Sidam 25s with only optical tracking although they act like full on radar SPAA’s anyway. Gepards , M163s and ZSU-23-4’s are more numerous IRL and actually have bands that early anti radar missiles can see.
At this point the only targets in air simulator battles are the airfield AA: the ITO 90’s. The convoys and ground battles are completely immune to early strike jets locking part of the gameplay loop to only the higher br’s
Said ITO’s shoot down 90% of my alarms i fire at them so i very much doubt anything else will be getting through its iron dome.

Yeah that happens for me a lot also. Sadly there are no viable targets to go after at the moment in air simulator battles. That is why I would propose switching out the SHORAD systems for ones that are easier to engage and more historically accurate as well. In an ideal world both sides would also get SHORAD systems based on the countries currently flying on that side but that would require Gaijin having a second look at air sim so I don’t see that happening anytime soon

I went into a game of rb ec and was disappointed when i realised my alarms couldnt lock the za 35. Some maps even have the af spaa turned off unless your within 10km of them making the range on the alarms usess.

I mean we technically have more realistic and easier to deal with shorads like Elde and NOMADS on Sweden, 4 missiles only with no way to rearm, just add them to the convoys, 4 missiles and they are harmless
