Consolidated HXC1 (P2Y-1J) (コンソリデーテッドHXC1)
The Consolidated HXC1, or the full name Consolidated Navy Experimental Type C Flying Boat, is a Consolidated P2Y-1J aircraft that was purchased by Kawanishi for the Japanese Navy in 1934. This flying boat arrived in Japan in 1935 and was used for testing. This aircraft, along with the Sikorsky S-42, became an inspiration for the Kawanishi H6K flying boat and indirectly for the Yokosuka H5Y.
History
In 1933, the Japanese Navy demanded that Kawanishi create the 8-Shi flying boat. Kawanishi was well aware that biplane flying boats were quickly becoming obsolete and, between March and December, created two experimental flying boats: the four-engine “Type-Q” and the three-engine “Type-R.” In order to learn about the technology for building large flying boats, Kawanishi decided to purchase a flying boat in the USA. They chose to buy a Consolidated P2Y flying boat. In 1934, this flying boat was still a modern machine, which greatly interested the Japanese. Japanese representatives managed to purchase one P2Y-1 unit, which was designated P2Y-1J. This aircraft arrived in parts in Japan in January 1935 and was assembled at the Kawanishi facilities. On April 17, 1935, the Consolidated P2Y-1J was flown for the first time by the Japanese and served as a Kawasaki test aircraft, which influenced the future Kawanishi H6K (work on it began in early 1934). After some time, the P2Y-1J was also transferred for testing to the Japanese Navy, where it received the designation Consolidated Navy Experimental Type C Flying Boat and the short designation HXC. This aircraft was used for testing, later being registered as a civilian transport aircraft by Kawanishi, until eventually it was dismantled for parts and used as a technical reference point.

Construction description
The Consolidated HXC1 (P2Y-1J) is a flying boat in a biplane configuration. The crew consists of five people, including three gunners (one in the nose and one on the back) and two pilots in an enclosed cockpit. The lower wing of the P2Y-1J flying boat was much smaller than the upper wing. The aircraft had a fuselage and wing structure made of duralumin, but the wings and stabilizers were also covered with fabric. The fuselage was equipped with a deck, making it safer. The Consolidated HXC1 flying boat is powered by two Wright R-1820E Hornet radial engines generating 575 hp each, mounted between the upper wing and the fuselage. The aircraft had two auxiliary floats mounted under the wings. The armament consists of a movable Browning 7.62 mm machine gun in the nose and two movable Browning 7.62 mm machine guns on the back behind the wing on the left and right sides. Under its wings, the aircraft can carry up to 2,000 lb (907 kg) of bombs.

Summary
The Consolidated HXC1 (P2Y-1J) is an interesting flying boat for Japan in War Thunder. This boat would be a useful bomber thanks to its good bomb load and decent defensive capabilities. This aircraft is also interesting historically as it helped in the development of the Kawanishi H6K flying boat and indirectly the Yokosuka H5Y. The Consolidated HXC1 (P2Y-1J) is perfect as a premium aircraft or for events. I encourage you to discuss in the comments and to share your own knowledge on this subject.
Finally, I apologize for the linguistic and logical errors because unfortunately English is not my main language and I had to use google translator.
