Console players have a feature where they get the ability to air lock a air target due to having limited control schemes at any br in grb. Meaning at top tier where HARMS have become the new air to ground they can shut their radar off and actively scan for enemy air without having their radar on. While this is neat to some extent it only extends to console players, however as you see in the screenshot, if a player plugs in a keyboard while on console they do not lose this ability. Proposed solution would be to detect if the console player is using a keyboard and then they lose this ability, OR above non radar BRs (7.7 and up) they would lose the ability to track air targets without this advantage.
Agreed. War Thunder should be able to detect what the player is using to control their vehicle and toggle it on/off depending on what the player is using.
How to avoid that:
Stay outside of 10-11km from it
Console players shouldnt get such a thing full stop.
I know exactly when its a console player in an SPAA as they will hit my planes engine and ONLY the engine. happens far too often for the aim assists to be any way fair.
yes controllers have a slight aiming disadvantage but not enough to require such a thing. I also play games on consoles, its not a challenge
It dose, if I leave my controller plugged into my PC when I start WT it pops up with the option to set it to show either M&K or controller key binds.
Buddy the literal image shows the player with mouse and keyboard and their marker system is still active.
Yes, that is exactly what I said, the game can already automatically detect what input devices are being used so it shouldn’t be hard to disable the auto tracking when a M&K is detected.
