The ROC is part of the chinese tree so therefore they should get their vehicles and that means their abrams.
Curious how nobody complained this much when it came to the Taiwanese F-16,F-5s or even Mirage 2000.

people very much did with the F16
but gaijin got them to quite down by not giving china a better f16 than the US like they were trying to do
1- It’s a European game. Stop baiting.
2- Gaijin doesn’t want to upset Americans and Taiwan players.
3- Irrelevant. Random players cannot get War Thunder banned in China.
I disagree, and I don’t have issues with those so-called “copy-paste” vehicles.
The M1A2T Abrams was specifically designed to meet Taiwan’s operational requirements and was approved by the U.S. Department of State for export. It’s not a 100% copy-and-paste vehicle in my view.
Since China’s tech tree already includes a permanent Taiwan branch, it’s only logical that the M1A2T should be added there when the time comes. Plain and simple.
It is not fair to gatekeep Abrams in the US tree when we already have numerous exported Leopard variants and additional examples in other nations’ trees. Expecting Gaijin to roll back all such additions is unrealistic, so it’s not going to happen.
Summed it up perfectly.
The “Lets talk about the state of Germany” thread has been up for years and started off with the same points as this one, Complaining about other nations getting their things, Complaining their “rights” to other nations as sub trees was “stripped from them”.
It would be hypocritical of the mods to remove this one when that one has been allowed to stay up for so long.
Edit: Wow look at that, They locked the thread, But the other threads of other nations crying about their stuff being copied are still up because of course they are.
Hey mods, If we cant make complaints about American MBT’s being copy-pasted then while your at it go lock the German thread crying about their tech being copied/stolen Lets talk about the state of Germany
in game it would be though
it would just be an AIM with CITV, so pretty much 100% copy and paste
an earlier thread on M1A2T was nuked, not even locked just deleted
Gaijin will continue to do this copy pasting and nothing will stop them. It’s how they can keep up with the pacing of updates.
Uniqueness and reward of the US tree has already been ruined with a buttload of Sherman copies all around the game. My point is that if Leopard can be copied, so can M1, otherwise the one would get the preferential treatment.
I think US higher tier ground vehicles escaped copying for long enough, so their time is due.
US planes are already heavily copied, so Bebrams should as well.
Would be awesome if Gaijin added realistic matchmaking rules for vehicles like this, so M1A2Ts would fight with the US side and there’d be more reason to add ROCAF ground support planes and helicopters to build a lineup, more GDR/East German vehicles would be cool to see with such a system.
Honestly, I think about this problem is only two parts.
Firstly. China can have their Abrams, unlike we lost our Aussiebrams before.
Only when they approve Thailand VT-4 to the Thailand subtree of Japan.
1- Thailand bought VT4 from China
2- Thailand is a sub-tree of Japan
3- So give Thailand VT4 to Japan. (Just like Stingray or other imported things)
4- Taiwan bought M1A2T from the USA
5- Taiwan can be considered as a sub-tree of mainland China
6- So give Taiwan M1A2T to China (Just like F-16A MLU or other imported things)
This is not contradicting nor double standarding. right?
Secondly, with a joke, I think US mains are discussing copy-paste feels double standard and disgrace.
You guys have
-M4A5(Ram II)
-Skink (Canadian-built SPAA with British autocannon)
-Bf 109F-4 (premium)
-Fw 190A-8 (premium)
-A6M2 (premium)
-Ki-43-2(premium)
-Ki-61-Ib(premium)
-Spitfire LF Mk.IX (premium)
If a can of worms really needs to be closed, we need to get rid of them once and for all.
Not just removing from the store, with full refund and removal from the game.
TLDR: Your ancestors sold your vehicles; blame them. not Gaijin or Chinese players.
Joke Take: or be one of us. No major nations bought Chally, so no copy-paste.
Entirely great post. More level headed than I’m being.
Like, if Australia was a sub-tree of Britain, obviously AIM would’ve been put there.
ROC is a tech tree, not a sub-tree, so that’s even more precedent of M1A2T going to China.
It’s no different than Germany getting CL13, or Japan getting F-15.
another big factor on why this should not be added, that I think gaijin might have forgotten about is the effect this addition would have on ground sim battles, where US and China are consistently on opposite sides and copy and paste vehicles cause massive issues on identification
It has. I already told you specifically about the M1A1 AIM and the Canadian Leo 2.
I have been reply limited so gonna continue on here.
I have already previously covered all the non-US ground vehicles in the US tree in earlier replies. I don’t want to get into the weeds of Aircraft, which is already an argument for implementing captured vehicles into the US tree, aka the other side of the argument where we give everyone everything cause money knows no flag or whatever.
@MotorolaCRO Again your argument is to ruin it further. I think that is a terrible idea. The only winner in that world would be Israel because they don’t export yet. Sim would be ruined, there would be no point in playing other nations, and the game would be a terrible vibe.
Canadian modification to US vehicle hulls, with Canada not being an official sub tree in game, gaijin went with the simple route of adding them to both US and british trees
Ideally, yes. Your claim is right.
but reason is
Gaijin currently officially declined that either Canada or Aussie would be a sub-tree of UK.
So his claim is also parrrtially right.
The M4A5 was in the American tree first, Canada is not a sub nation of anyone so if anything the one the British got is the copy-paste.
The Skink was added because Gaijin didn’t want to bother modelling a new AA to fill the gap, And again, Its a Canadian vehicle, Which has not been dedicated to any specific tree yet.
So far its the only non US tech tree vehicle, ONE vehicle, While they share almost their entire low tier in exchange, Not a fair trade in the slightest.
This isn’t the gotcha moment you think it is.
They don’t even get the M8 Greyhound in their research tree, Despite it being their most produced and used armored car of all time, Instead its limited to an ancient event or marketplace, But you know who does get it as a free unlock-able vehicle? That’s right, The Chinese tree.
This thread has mostly been talking about ground vehicles, If you are seriously going to bring up a handful of planes they got then go look at the countless US planes that every tree gets in return.
This didn’t stop Gaijin from adding USSR vehicles in NATO TTs.
and? not adding east german vehicles would have left significant gaps in the tech tree, which is something that that not adding M1A2T would not do
its funny how the skink was added only for the british tree, and stayed like that for a long time despite the US tree having a much worse gap in its AA line
My post wasn’t aimed solely on Germany.
