Chi-Ri should NOT be BR 5.7

Chi-To is much better than Chi Nu II in multiple aspects.
Chi Nu II would be fine at 4.0 unless you want to increase all 75mm Panzer IVs.

It absolutely should. No matter if 3.3-3.7 Panzer IVs are undertiered or not. Chi-Nu 2 is barely worth different br from those. 4.0 is completly reasonable.

No, you don’t need to continue. It’s clear from your explanation that you are garbage at the game, since large weakspots are apparently unhittable for you. I am thus not going to waste my time further while trying to argue with someone that so cleary has little idea how to play the game.

Dude, you do realize the Panzer IVs have a far worse drop in terms of range. The Type-II 75mm still out beats the Panzer IVs in the range department.

Also, the Chi-Nu II was moved up cause it was sealing clubbing those at 2.7, 3.0, and 3.7 vehicles. I know cause i have every Japanese WW2 vehicle and i used them when they were still at 4.0 and 4.3 while all retaining a 4.3 reload.

Reading the report that caused the change, it is historically accurate for the loading system in function (although they have not updated the model for the loading tray yet). There is 1 round held on the loading tray (the 2 rounds modeled in game are actually sitting on 2 halves of the same tray that close to hold 1 round), when the gun is fired the ejected casing trips a switch and the ready round is automatically lowered into the breech and rammed in and the loader restocks the loading tray.
So while I am not opposed to the change due to it’s apparent historical accuracy there was no need to up-tier the tank by 2 steps.

The Chi Nu II now has an abysmal 6.5s reload. Your experience with it is outdated.

That‘s far from being abysmal 🙃

My understanding was that the belt fed autoloader was a concept for the Chi-Ri that wasn’t pursued and they just went with some sort of tray “autoloader” for the final design. Did new information come out about it?

That’s about the same as most long 75/76mm guns.

That’s not how experience works. Also, I know it’s a 6.5 reload. I still use it, and it still performs decently at 4.3.

She’s a glass cannon, something the Chi-To’s and Chi-Ri’s are struggling with due to the battle ranking they are at.

I still do very well in it. Of course it’s a little map dependent, but by no means bad. I find the large HE filler makes it much more reliable than the Pz IV’s guns.

From the report it sounds like there was a belt type ammo rack in the bustle to keep ammo easily accessible to the loader who kept the tray stocked, the process of loading the round from the tray was fully automatic, but could also be activated by the gunner if it failed to cycle automatically.
The full bug report is here if you want to read it:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/yuUL6KPmBTBC

The really confounding thing to me is that nowhere in this bug report is it suggested that the previous 3.3 second reload was unrealistic. It even outright states that the IRL speed of the system is unknown.

Had Gaijin maintained the 3.3 second reload but with a far larger ready rack, there would be far fewer complaints with it moving up in BR.

5.9s is what the long 76 and 75 has for both the German and American guns. 6.5s is quite a bit longer.

Well, it’s definitely below average at that BR range where everything has a 5s - 5.9s reload.

Experience can become outdated. Why do you think a vehicle (that went up to 4.3 because of its 4.3s reload rate and lethality) should stay at 4.3 after its most notable feature ( the great reload) gets changed with a sub-par one?

Struggling because of their battle rankings you say?
Hmm. Why not just lower them in BR?

Pz IVs are the easiest kills at their respective BRs (OK, maybe E and F1 are reasonably good) so don’t know if that’s a good recommendation.

What recommendation?
To put it to 4.0 right?

My bad, now I see what your point was.
But my point is - it’s hilariously easy to be in a better spot than Pz IV. I switch from Germany to US to tell if it’s me or the tank, and damn, in case of Germany - it’s the tank.

Hah, no worries.
Yes, I agree that the Panzer IVs are kinda underwhelming… only really having its 5.9s reload high pen 29g TNT equiv APHE to rely on.

I wouldn’t say they’re terrible though, and they can definitely be a nuisance to fight against at 2.7, and especially 2.3.
