Chengdu J-10, History, Performance & Discussion

yes a chinese Su-35

dosent that sound amazing

another option would be for gaijin to take the Su-33, reskin it, give it the Pl-12 and then call it J-15

Well at least J-11B radar. I will be fine if that happens any other time than this. M1A2T and new SPAA, hopefully HQ16 or FK3k.

I’m also waiting for him to give the AGM C-701 and C-704

not so good choices, without ARH and too large

What? China is incapable of developing its own AGMs is obvious that they will buy them from the russians(sarcasm)…that bug report got accepted 1 year ago give it another year at least to be considered

KD88 exists

LY-70 would be a decent choice
Smaller profile and 8× 40km ARH missiles and 6× FB-10A/LY-70IR for close range
And a good aesa radar

360°× -5-/+70° 90km

I personally don’t want a multi vehicle system as they’re really cumbersome and impossible to hide/conceal on 90% of maps

Even then we can still have a multi vehicle system, but one that can operate on its own or with an extra missile boat.
Also good thing with these is that they can’t be worse than 625s.

not for HQ-16 and FK-3

I think he meant the LY-70 can operate as a single or a multi vehicle system

I find that other nations like Russia and the USA lack vehicles. We need to give them another year to reach the same level as China, and then we can think about whether or not we will give AGMs at the same level as AGM 65 IRs to China.

(intensive sarcasm)

The only two production J-10Bs equipped with the WS-10B engine are the final two aircraft of Batch 01, numbered 0155 and 0156.

How about j10c? When did they switch over from the al31fn to the ws10b? Also which al31fn series do they use?

The specific production batch is unknown, but the J-10C displayed at this year’s Changchun Airshow had been retrofitted from an AL-31FN to the WS-10B engine. Identifying the exact variant of the AL-31FN may require checking UEC’s data records, and it’s possible that J-10Cs originally equipped with early AL-31FN engines were upgraded to Series 5.

edit: The earliest sighting of a J-10C fitted with the WS-10B engine was from the 5th batch.

What would be all the improvements of the J-10C and B compared to the J-10A?

for warthunder it is mainly the AESA, IRST, MAW and better engine

A double rack under the fuselage for 2x PL-12 or possibly PL15 in addition to what Mr Ron_23 stated

A nice cockpit for sim and a HMD aswell on top of the other things mentioned
