Do you have any idea how big an SU-30 is?
I found an image of a J16 next to a J10.
Look at the size of that!
Another shocking image is the Tejas next to a Su30mki.
The Su30SM/SM2 isn’t just huge; it has canards and wings with positive sweep, configuration that prioritizes lifting over drag.
And even so, it has less drag than a J10C in the game.
How is this possible? Can someone explain this to me?
In the game, the LS-6 250kg bomb cannot achieve a 3x3 configuration on the J-10C’s triple ejector racks and is currently limited to 2x2 due to its oversized model (it is larger than the standard 250-3 bomb). This is also an issue that needs to be fixed.
This proves that Gaijin harbors deep hatred for China, especially since the Rafale and Su-30MKI being shot down by J-10Cs only fueled his hatred for the J-10Cs.
and the SU-30 will still have more drag than the J-10C
becasue the missiles will add the same ammount of drag and the Su-30 can carry more missiles so it will have more added drag
the problem is after mach 1, caused by the huge increase of cd0 parameter, which is almost doubled than rafale and ef2000
and clearly, the supersonic drag is more important in game
let me just borrow this for a quick answer. and I’m sure there is enough talking in this thread, explaining J-10’s design is more focus on supersonic not subsonic
most pylon drag isn’t modeled in game. only in some helis, so it’s the plane’s drag
