The paper talked about an AESA and I agree it could be the one used on J-10C (which is well know to be AESA), but it doesn’t mention that the J-10B switched from PESA to AESA?

Main differences between 10B and 10C are PESA+AL-31 vs AESA+WS-10 from all the Chinese sources I’ve seen, and the problem with using Chinese academic papers as sources is that 99% of the times they are very vague for OPSEC and won’t specify which vehicle they discuss. The paper does not even have a singular mention about “J-10”.
A few comments down when another user asked the OP to translate the paper he said “My grasp of the Chinese language is as good as yours”, apparently he does not even understand Chinese. Judging from the watermark he got them from Super Basecamp (超级大本营, a long gone CN military watch forum) and we can’t trace where the claim came from.

Because China likes to hide its own military scientific achievements and then release them when they are needed. Just like our sixth-generation aircraft. It even has two scenarios.
how the j10A one circle performance compared to eurofighter
J-10A is slightly inferior ingame, unless it is very low speed, then J-10A has better stall control.
J-10B is lighter + more thrust, so it should be more competitive.
J-10A actually has a lower stall speed than the Eurofighter, suggesting more lift at high AOA but the Eurofighter just has so much thrust that it outturns J-10A anyway.

J-10C is the one using WS-10B, early batch of J-10C was still using AL-31FN Series 3 or AL-31FNM1
Regarding this, I am seeing if I can see the actual paper for myself, cause it might mention something there. I agree with scientific papers it is vague, but roughly just about everything else is classified. If we can see from somewhere, (anywhere) in the paper that something matches on to known stuff, then we might just be able to use it.

Top left you can see the difference in cockpit, J-10B has 3 MFDs while J-10C has a single large display with a smaller one below it
J-16 and J-20 use a similar layout
Top right it states WS-10B is rated for 14 tons of thrust
Watch them adding J-15 and Liaoning to justify it existance
I want J-15, but the inital variant isn’t very good
J-15T is a monster though, it’s probably even better than the J-16 in A2A

It’s definitely a different radar, it doesn’t have the IFF interrogators like on the radar of the J-10B.
