or dump teammate to find another battle
dont teach anybody how to play the game
“JuST SPaWN a PLaNE” CAS mains for over a year when told to spawn a tank or use a game mode that allows them to fly unhindered be like.
Mfw this change makes the game even better for those that actually enjoy playing CAS and CAP. Making your CAS run much more significant and giving you a good chance to CAP without the massive punishment of bringing two fighters.
ASB…um… How many people play SB? And how many play AB?
I don’t like AB controls and performance and SB is not populated, too long and have those economy issues. Both can’t replace ARB though an ARB EC is needed still
btw how? Bad teams die to tanks far more than CAS for they collapse toooooooo fast…
Earlier we had a few people complaining this will make matches take too long because it allows tanks to hold positions and rather than get clicked on/spacebarred, instead force the map to be engaged with in full.
I am in support of RB EC, but SB is not being populated is easily solved by letting more people know it’s nowhere near as scary as first impressions would make it seem, thus solving the population problem in a positive feedback loop.
I believe that the demand for a score of around 900 and the introduction of the new version’s split-type air defense have effectively curbed CAS.
If this change is implemented, what is the point of attack aircraft on the tech tree? Its versatility is not as good as that of the multi-function fighter, and now it shares the rebirth score. Can you explain the rationality of this?
holy likes
I think this is a very bad change. It’s a one-size-fits-all approach. When discussing WWII aircraft, if there are enough respawn points, players would always take rockets or bombs when taking off. This way, on the one hand, it can suppress ground anti-aircraft forces, and on the other hand, when enemy aircraft attack, they can jettison the load to engage in air combat. This change makes some systems with insufficient ground strength unable to counter systems with strong ground forces. It also greatly reduces the fun of playing for players. This is obviously harmful to the development of the game. This game mode has always been an advantage of War Thunder and has attracted many players to play. Under certain circumstances, this change has reduced the number of new players joining.

If it’s such a change, then what’s the point for players to take the air force route?
In the future, the weak departments of the army will have no chance to turn around…
this dead game is kicking our old ass away. If cas respown point was cutted, what am I supposed to against germ in 5.7? using my tiny rediculus 76mm cannon or brittle m36 to against panzer an IS tank?
The cas introduced is the subsidize of those tech tree with weak ground force, now we lose cas, what about ground vehicle? being killed by those cheater buy a gold tank last week and lock your breech in run shot?
Basically, it just asks those air players to go AFK when they respawn a jet fighter without any loadouts and no target in the air. The main issue is due to KH38, not for CAS, I don’t know if someone believes that when a jet take just only 1 bomb will seriously damage the GRB? Or just due to Gaijin choosing the simplest and most unreasonable solution after hearing tons of complaints from the forum. At least half of the complaints are from KH38 or something F&F agm at toptier, but Gaijin just simply choose cut CAS at all.
Well if this change went live, then what is the point for attackers like Su34, Mirage 2000 D RMV, AD4, F84G. They indeed can do some job at shooting down enemy planes, but why not just bring their fighter counterpart (Su30, Rafale, F4U, Sea Hawk) can carry the same weapon while have much better airframe?
I get it that having both Attacker and fighter in same lineup can give heavy pressure for ground vehicles, especially in top tier, but this idea just make those attackers obsolete.
This change is very unfriendly to our players who own the air force. We spent a lot of energy to finish the air force and then told us to merge the rebirth point, which is very uncomfortable.
This is the case for toptier, sure. But at lower BRs, I can’t bring a wyvern laden for air to ground and follow it up with a spitfire with a light bomb from the looks. Generally took a light bomb to help friendly air with AA or an immediate response if a squadmate needed a hand. At lower BRs, this facilitates utilising more toxic locations with a generally limited ability for response or team support to deal with them. It will generally degrade the capacity for some teams to deal with others at some BR brackets (thinking of 75s vs tigers for example). It’s just a bad idea when they could have decreased the cost of CAP options.
I feel the primary mechanism they should have been looking at to fix the issue would be providing both sides access to CAP at either the rate of a heli with rockets, or 140sp like a heavy tank. The only real thing this approach will achieve is just making CAS players significantly more careful and reducing the amount of risks they’ll engage with. At toptier, this will mean more strikes from the outer bounds of possible AAs, and for lower BRs it will just be strikes from positions that AAs will struggle to target.
It’s just a bad solution to a complicated problem. This is before we consider the ratings generally lead to better multiroles for ground attack than dedicated air to ground platforms being found at the same ratings.
This change will significantly reduce the willingness of players to develop aerial vehicles. The only advantage of many ground attack aircraft over fighters of the same weight is that they do not cost additional respawn points, and fighters of the same weight often do a better job than them in terms of air superiority and near-ground support, and the only role of these aircraft is to bomb bombs in the history mode of land warfare, such as the F111f and F-117, this change will cause these aircraft to completely lose the opportunity to play, and also make the efforts of players who have developed these vehicles completely in vain.
If this change is actually updated to the game, it will obviously cause at least two problems:
- Player churn, the reason is as above, some players are restricted.
- The new land warfare top weight balance problem, the air force in the top land warfare is often part of the balance, the comprehensive strength of countries that are extremely dependent on air force combat such as the United States, the Soviet Union, and Israel have been greatly weakened by this change, and countries with very strong ground vehicles such as Germany, Sweden, and Japan have been greatly enhanced, and the originally fragile land warfare model will be more unbalanced, which is also contrary to the original idea of achieving balance by limiting the air force.
Are you sure about this? look at USA mid tier rolling with T29/T34 and do you still think you need something like AU-1 or A2D to stomp the enemy ground units?
So what is the point of the SU-34 and F-16?In air combat, the SU-30SM and F-15E do better than them.If Gaijin really wants to change the land warfare history mode, my idea is to borrow the approach of the arcade entertainment model
