Nope. CAS makes GRB better.
It’s only good at toptier. It’s bad at every other BR, especially when SPAA didn’t receive a similar nerf.

More like balancing it. Light tank has been very strong and ‘meta’ way to quickly hop into aircraft and lay waste on ground targets below, I’m glad Gaijin is finally doing something about this.
I rarely play below 8.0 so I can’t say much about lower BR, but yes it is a great change to top tier.
Why don’t you delete su34 from the route GAIJIN?
More than half of the air craft only play in BR just like the su24m and the mig27
These SP changes basically kill the fun of CAS and light tanks, punish combined arms tactics, and feel like a slap in the face to veteran players who spent years (and money) mastering them. It breaks GRB’s rhythm and makes our hard-earned vehicles feel useless—please roll it back before you drain the soul out of the mode.
Top tier AAs are for the most part completly defenseless against ground units (just as tanks are completly defenseless against top tier CAS) so spawning a tank is viable counter!
No need to nerf CAS if there is ground vehicles only mode.
Ground only doesn’t solve CAS balance issues, it only makes em worse.
Its perfectly good nerf to low tier, now US players will be forced to choose what to spawn because they can’t hop into their second CAS planes so easily anymore. No need to nerf low BR SPAA, they’re weak enough as it is already. Also Russian players can’t spawn in a Yak-9K after their TiS MA gets rekt anymore.
Low-mid tier SPAA is pretty strong, but not overpowered. The really trouble makers are 8.3-9.7 SPAA which seriously need to be nerfed b4 any more nerfs can come to CAS.
Right now, Gajin should only implement the CAS SP nerf to toptier where CAS is actually too strong.
It’s pretty stupid that you will only be able to spawn a single normal price plane, whilst at some BRs, you can spawn 4 overpowered SPAAs back to back with no SP penalty.
And that’s fine, there’s no issues there. CAS should not have an easy time because their interactions with ground targets are not balanced. So why should SPAA vs CAS be balanced too? The only way for CAS to be balanced is for SPAA to be strong enough to force all but the most skilled CAS players to stay away.
Who the hell wants to spawn SPAA 4 times lol which br has that many SPAAs? Brits 10.3?
Let me bring in my 4SPAA british lineup, not like I’ll have no planes and and only 3 tanks to fight with lmao
Also why nerf 9.7 SPAA? The poor Rapier can’t handle a nerf, it needs a buff because its missiles suck
Only way for SPAA to be balanced is to either be weaker than CAS, or be as expensive as CAS.
Gepard 1A2 and ozelot. 6 spawns if you count Roland
Nope, its balanced as it is now. Leave it at the SP costs and make SPAA somewhat stronger.
Oh, and to all the people going “this makes matches last longer”
HOW IS THAT A BAD THING?
Let’s say you have 60 minutes put aside for gaming.
Which is better?
A:
Boot up Warthunder.
Get a match within ~1-1.5 minutes
Spawn in within 30 seconds plus ~30 seconds loading time
Play for 20-25 minutes.
Spend about 30-60 seconds waiting to return to hangar, reading post-battle summary.
Do this about two times
You played 20-25 minutes for ~3 minutes of queuing/loading game/spawning at most for a total of ~40-50 minutes of fun vs ~6-7 minutes of downtime.
B;
Boot up Warthunder
Get a match within 30 seconds
Spawn in within 30 seconds and 30 seconds loading time
Play for 5 minutes and game is already downballed due to CAS spam so you go next
Spend about 30-60 seconds waiting to return to hangar, reading post-battle summary.
Do this ~9 times
You played 5 minutes for ~1.5 minutes of downtime, so about…
45 minutes actually playing the game and 13 minutes of downtime.
The choice is blatantly A.
Longer games mean you spend more time playing the game rather than waiting at loading screens or staring at results and other distractions.
And this is before we consider that the shorter matches are by virtue much more monotone due to there being fewer points of divergence across 5 minutes than across 25 (in five minutes, many tanks and ground combat vehicles may not even have reached their preferred combat zones)
HUGE +1 to this. It never made sense to me why landing in GRB doesn’t work exactly the same as it does in ARB.
The one issue I could see with this is the Spawn Point cost if you were to try and change to an A2G loadout from an A2A loadout, if the A2G loadout costs more Spawn Points. However, it is “just math”, and I think it would be worth the effort from the Devs to implement this mechanic.
Well then, no need to nerf CAS or buff SPAA.
GRB would be FAR more enjoyable, especially for CAS, if Gajin simply increased ticket count by 50%
Nope. CAS belongs in GRB bombing whiny CAS-hating noobs ( :
This thread is just devolving back into the CAS thread that got locked a week ago. Stop arguing the same points.
