Then there’s no reason to do it.
Iirc SPAA has same cost regardless of how many you spawn. Either way, 70sp (or 90 for some) is far too low for a vehicle that has the advantage over 600 or even 900 SP vehicles.

since it wont affect you, as you wont be needing second CAS spawn, why fight the change?
Why make the change at all?
To make CAS deployment more rewarding.
That’s not how that works, unless you wanna increase kill reward for planes in exchange for harder second spawn
Less CAS spanws = less competing for ground targets.
There’s no reason competition between CAS planes. Most planes can get 1-3 kills due to payload limits, and there’s rarely more than 2-3 planes up, and there’s no guarantee that they’re all CAS.
which wont be affected as CAP costs wont increase
and then they can land, rearm and get three more since there wont be so many competitors
Nope. Many planes are too slow to rearm at AF b4 the match ends
Well luckily you can get CAS early so this is a non issue.
Since competition between CAS planes clearly isnt an issue, there’s no reason to make this change.
It leaves more targets to destroy for skilled player, i already said that. Its a great change.
It’s a pretty dumb change if it’s made to solve a non-existent issue.
Chage only affects second CAS spawn.
It doesnt affect good CAS player in the slightest and doesnt take anyone ability to spawn a first CAS plane.
Further, this change either forces bad CAS players to get better and not lose their first CAS plane or takes away their free ticket to second plane, leaving more space for manuevering and targets for skilled CAS players.
Planes being slow is a non-issue as good CAS player can get them early in the match.
I often have matches with more than 3 planes on both sides zooming around and bombing people. This will just let better players who can stay alive longer get more kills since other pilots will not be able to so easily respawn.
Really given amount of terrible players I’ve been forced to play with recently, (Sitting in one spot for a whole match, not shooting at targets in the open and just stare at them) it seems to me that a reason ground has gotten worse is because of CAS players. They don’t know how tanks work and just want to fly planes without the worry of actually having to try.
Not true. The proposed changes make it EASIER to spawn in a plane (even the same one) with Air to Air load-outs, thus making it easier to counter CAS in the air with your own planes.
The amount and level of misunderstanding (and even blatant misinformation) in this thread is staggering. Everyone should take a chill pill and read through the original post fully before resorting to hyperbole.
Things can and always will continue to change and evolve, even if/when this proposed change goes into effect. The best thing everyone should do is try and understand exactly how the new change will work, and argue/advocate for modifications and/or changes after the fact to make it even better.
It only makes it easier to spawn in the same plane again. Nothing else
I’m just here for the CAS main tears, and also to see what kind of logical reaches Pangolin_Fan can cook up in his head thinking CAS is either necessary (its not) or that SPAA need either a BR increase or spawn point nerf (they don’t). Its about time the most broken element of this game gets limited in some fashion.
Again, wrong. If you did not have a fighter AND an attacker/bomber in your lineup, if you tried to spawn a second time with the same class (even with a reduced/anti air load-out), you often would not have enough spawn points. With this change you will be able to either spawn in a second plane that is also a fighter, and/or spawn the same fighter plane in again but with a load-out with reduced spawn point costs.
It is still apparent that you either did not fully read the original official post, or still do not fully understand the implications.
I encourage you and everyone else here to go read the post again. I still have some significant questions as to exactly how it will be implemented (such as exactly HOW many spawn points a potential load-out will cost), but I am strongly in favor of removing the Fighter/Strike/Bomber limitation to CAS:
