No not really. There’s no much a Jumbo can do if a KT is defending a cap point, unless he has CAS on his team.
That doesn’t make them an after thought, that just means they’re intended to fill a role that tanks can’t, whilst tanks fill a role that planes can’t.
5.7 Jumbo is one of the best vehicles. It can do a lot even when uptiered
Planes have a role to kill tanks, which can be done by tanks themselves.
Tanks like the Jumbo can’t effectively attack defending tanks, like a KT. This is the role that planes fill, the role of being able to destroy any singular tank regardless of uptirr or downtier.
Jumbo isn’t the only tank that’s allowed to be spawned.

The fact that you in ajumbo cannot do anything is a different matter.
The argument was that tanks also directly inpact how you approach the objective. Would a king tiger on an objective not react differently depending on if there was an enemy jumbo or not?
If there are enemy tanks near objectives your plan changes. As it should and thus tanks have a direct impact on how you approach the objective.
Ok? Planes can do what tanks can’t. Heck, even spawning an M36B2 isn’t really a reliable way to destroy a King Tiger.
Not to mention, you could have an entire team of 5.7s against an entire team of 6.37s due to the way matchmaking works, and this isn’t uncommon either.
I’d like to see you single handedly destroy a Tiger 2H with a 75mm jumbo. No help from teammates, no CAS.
Tanks can kill tanks, you don’t need planes. That is if you don’t crave a crutch.

If the KT has no teammates sure, bring it on. You underestimate the 75 and the effect of the stabiliser the jumbo gets.
If I can kill KT in the 4.3 amx 13 and the 5.3 EBR I can sure as hell do it with the jumbo. They have the same gun afterall.
