Changes to the SP cost of CAS in GRB

That’s not how an “afterthought” works.

That’s thought out poorly at most.

You could queue for GSB without tanks and spawn first.

They fixed that, as further support for the argument.

You can still first-spawn planes, which given SB controls and the annoyance of setting up VR and HOTAS, I can kinda understand why.

You can try to turn this around however you want. Planes are in GRB since day 1.
Clearly they are intended to be used in this mode. Which the description also states.

What kind of “argument” is “you can’t first spawn them” ?
There is still something called balance.

You can’t just thought it out poorly and make one vehicle type have literally no objective interaction. This is pretty much like forgetting to include a sink in the bathroom or make a house without doors. You simply don’t do such silly mistakes and keep it like that for a decade.

And with changes that gaijin want to implement, nothing changes in that regard

Which we will see when it’s here.

I think most are talking about GRB as GSB and other Sim modes are EOL for years now.

fyi planes were added a few months after tanks after the bi weekend tests turned more frequent - i know because i was there from the beginning literal day 1. Back then they weren’t a big deal, now they’re more annoying.

And this proves that planes aren’t a simple afterthought and secondary, optional choice how ?

They wanted to market the game as a combined aspect and they did just that half assed.

You can establish balance without limiting their spawn.

Well, thats your opinion, i like it the way it is.

Them doing it half assed isn’t an opinion.

It kills over vehicles, that’s the interaction.

That’s vehicle interaction, not objective.

It kills other vehicles in other modes as well. This interaction is not GRB specific thus their their inclusion in the mode is poorly thought out.

The only way planes affect the game is via kills.

Tabks on the other hand have scouting and capturing points as well. These being GRB specific effects.

Killing vehicles directly impacts the objective.

Their inclusion since day 1 does not make their inplementation any less badly thought out.

That’s secondary impact at best.
Primary impact is engaging with the objective yourself.

I never capped a point by just killing enemies in it.

The fact that they already have less ways to impact the game shows how they are not neccesarily needed in the mode. Any tank can kill other tanks. But no plane can capture od decap objectives.

Secondary or not, it still makes an impact, often times an even bigger impact than tanks.

You still can’t interact with objectives, which is the whole point.
