That’s right — this will only encourage players to use their single ground-attack loadout opportunity for striking ground targets, and then switch to an air-superiority fighter to dominate the skies, which is far too idealized.
In essence, ground warfare is still ground warfare, and such loadout changes “encourage” air-superiority fighters in a way that completely disrupts the original ground-battle pacing of the game.
Instead of this one-sided and wishful change to loadouts, it would be better to give each nation more fighters and fighter-bombers to maintain balance.
Obviously, the new SP mechanics severely reduce the importance of light tanks and CAS aircraft.
We the players paid our effort(as well as money)to grind the aircraft. The new mechanics is denying our effort. It also weakened our willing to buy new premium aircraft——what‘s the point of buying them if we can use them at our will in the gamemode which is GRB we enjoy?I hope they recosider this.

I disagree, multiroles in WT are labelled as fighters. So instead of “balance”,the new mechanics simply nerf all fighters.
Such as?
Most nations don’t have gen 4 strike aircraft. They have multiroles like the typhoon, or Rafale or Gripen.
Switching them over to be strike aircraft like the F15E just so that you can spawn in 2x Strike aircraft just feels weird
No it didn’t.
It buffed them imo.
Before If I spawned in say a typhoon, and then died. I could either spawn in a tornado Gr4 or nothing at all because I couldnt respawn in a fighter.
Now I could spawn in the Gripen or Typhoon with A2G and then respawn in the other with A2A.
It’s also been a massive buff for the SHar FRS1s as they were erroneously classed as a strike aircraft meaning Britains only fighter at 10.3 couldn’t be spawned in after bringing a much better CAS like the Jaguar. Now they can.
This is a massive buff for CAP at all BRs whilst balancing CAS between nations at all BRs
For example, the two-seat Gripen could be classified as an attack aircraft. many fighter aircraft are not strictly bound by tactical classifications anyway.
Funny enough, I always spawned in CAP with my Gripen instead, since its A2G loadout is so small its not worth bringing in. I love seeing the CAS mains crying about there being more power to CAP planes though lmao
and what if you can spawn something else with A2G loadout but now you can’t?
Then you get into a tank like the rest of the playerbase and fight on the ground or you establish your dominance in the sky by preventing the enemy team from bringing in a CAS plane.
I appreciate those who doing CAP but why are you talking about playerbase? So we don’t like the new changes and we became “CAS main”?
Seriously I do both CAP and CAS and I spent more time on the ground instead of in the air,and still I don’t like this change.
I for one love this change. Keeps the skies clear for longer.
As the Gripen has FnF and GBU39s. It was my go to CAS. Though I don’t play top tier anymore
How about low and mid-tier GRB like USSR4.7. You can now spawn another yak9k with default belt after the first 9k crashed without doubling SP. This game doesn’t only involve top-tier matches
It’s become better balanced. This is a good thing. For 80% of nations, they did not have a powerful multirole CAS aircraft classed as a strike aircraft. This have those 2 nations a massive and overwhelming advantage
I hope they set up exception for that and class that gun as a ground attack weapon. Likewise for things like the mosquito with the anti tank gun
If you think that the new change can balance US and USSR,I’m fine with that. However the "80% of nations"will receive their multirole eventually.
They might, they might not.
THere is no guarantee that something like the Gripen D would
A) be added to the game
or
B) be classed as a strike aircraft.
Sweden is going to perticuarly benefit from this change because the highest BR Strike aircraft they have at the moment is an 11.0.
They can now spawn in the Gripen A or C and respawn in the other with just pure CAP. This basically makes the Gripen A worthy to bring to a top tier line up.
Its a huge buff for CAP and balances CAS
I think this could already be covered. Ground belts do increase SP cost on any higher caliber plane.
It might, but would still be good to get clarrification on that fact.
I dont think ammo belts were mentioned in the blog.
