Having to be forced to use a different control setup is fundamentally flawed.
All controls should operate to roughly the same level.
But who am I kidding, we are talking about a pc game ported to make money.
(Remember only pc still has access to the gaijin market, mods (like reticles to help improve aim) and so on. Non of which is balanced for console users.)
This is exactly the misunderstanding im talking about. Im starting to get fairly certain you are targeting, and twisting what i say on purpose because you have no proper counter argumentation and disagree with me when i try to bring out valid points.
I don’t want to remove bombers from normal PVP matches, please quote where i have said that.
On console you can twirl, (tilt wings left and right) but going up and down / turning afaik requires you to leave gunner view. (At least this is how it is for me, despite me having a control to make me pull up as hard as possible, it’s locked out in gunner view)
Granted, you may be able to possibly keybind it? But with limited controls on a controller already… and I play on an Elite Series controller, I still have overlapping keybinds.
You want to make playing bomber economically unplayable because of “no one could kill you if you are playing bomber”, a narrative even you don’t believe:
Yeah, I figured that would be a problem due to how few buttons a controller has. On PC, I had to assign the plane’s yaw to left and right click, and use Spacebar to fire instead. There no other way
You should put your money where your mouth is and buy a generic cheap controller, and record your experience if your so adamant in your belief people should “just get a key board” since some likely cannot.
Just like in sim people cannot afford VR or Hotas, or even use them. (And these are huge advantages in sim air)
Why would i? I’m not claiming that i am at a disadvantage that i couldn’t easily fix by buying a different controller method.
On a side note, why would i buy a cheap controller? Even the cheapest keyboard and mouse for consoles have good accuracy compared to a controller.
