Changes to Bomber Survivability

agree 100% but all strikers should get their own buff but not to the bomber level

So in my personal opinion point of view, they can just add this structural integrity DM from the Su-8 and the TIS MA and make it to all the Strike aircraft, so there will be no bias, just an opinion, but may vary between us.

However, They can fix it in ways that is suitable in the eyes of the developers, since we as community we just suggest and they implement, we only can suggest improvements for their implementations or correction of their work.

this was a single R4M rocket hit which has ~0.5kg TNTe

P-38, P-61, hornet, firefly, firecrest (technically) and BF-110 aren’t bomber based.

Its a rocket, fragmentation warhead with more than hundreds of shrapenls, of course it could do that, however the guns have a very specific explosive mass, at specific velocity and angle of attack which can be deflected or Detonated in a way or angle or altitude or at specific armor thickness or at a specific placement of the aircraft that wont damage it catastrophically.

quite interesting image.

neither was the Polikarpov TIS. Its setting a standard which is being very favourable to certain vehicles rather than a blanket buff for all.

No one claimed they are. It’s about bringing other planes to higher durability (edit: not to bomber). And those planes are larger than some, and should be more structurally sound.

And as pointed out by others, TIS MA and Su-8 got buffs, so similar aircraft should receive buffs aswell.

It’s not a very big rocket.

We also have planes with shells bigger and heavier than it:

And yet neither of these do anything CLOSE to what we see there. These weapons were designed to shatter the structure and cause an immediate catastrophic structural failure.

But in-game:

a lot of words to say nothing of value

a lot of aircraft really need a survivability buff no matter their class. theres jet fighters which will lose a wing to 2-3 .50 cal hits. Last time i checked a jet fighter isnt made of wet paper, neither is a TIS MA made of solid tungsten

lol i posted a video here were apparently a single .50cal bullet from a bombers turret blew off the wing of my Bf 109, at the root of the wing too. Hit the trailing edge, or the wing at a very high angle of impact. from ~600 meters away.

thats cus bomber take reduced Frag damage

Yes, and?

well your frag rocket does meh damage beacause they take reduced fragmentation damage, there isnt really more than that

And how is this relevant to a B-24 in-game eating a rocket that unceremoniously cut its tail off IRL?

i just told you…

Imagine the only requirement for a better chance at survival being to not fly straight, but somehow you fail to accomplish even that.
Immortal pilots for bombers demanded by some bomber mains soon™

Situational awareness is also at peak levels here.

They do brother, I provided you with the variables, you enter the numbers.

We already know the bomber DMs are overperforming though?

Which variables? The IRL picture is a B-24 being hit by an R4M rocket. The in-game screenshot is a B-24 also being hit by an R4M rocket.

found this video of a B-26 getting hit directly in the left wing by flak. the engine falls off, but the wing is still standing, well for the extent of the video.

rest in peace to the crew

The game uses variables, Equations, And inserted numbers from rockets, bullets, to calculate the remaining damage model integrity.
