Change the BR of the Maus

It is 100% in a BR is gets outmatched in. Historically it would be at 6.7 to 7.0 BR…it’s just not fun to play it at the BR it is at. Please either put the armor back on the dang thing or lower its BR to be accurate. I hope others agree with me

Which is not take in account to balance a vehicle. It’s primarly based on statistics by player’s performance and other factors outside player’s control. Vehicles like Maus, Object 279, AMX-50 Surblindé and E-100 are rather complex to balance, in a way they fulfill their roles as heavy tank at the same time that doesn’t make a imbalance in-game, Maus specifically is worsen to balance, it has good armor and gun but it’s easily destroyed by HEAT and APDS at its battle rating range but if it’s too low there will be fewer guns that can take it out.

yes i would love to fight a bloody maus in my e8 sherman

I could SEE 7.3
6.7 is absolutely atrocious, you must be mad to think that would be balanced in ANY way 7.0 would still be overpowered.

Maus is fine. Stop making the same damn topic over and over.

are you sure 6.7 is low enough?
after all, 400mm HEAT can be found as low as 4.0

The stuff at 7.7 already take effort penning the Maus.
6.7s is even more so.

Maus is balanced at 7.7.

maus is balanced at 7.7, you can do a lot of work in it, if you expect it to play like a king tiger well… its well over twice as heavy, you play it different

Historically the KV-1 should be 3.7 and the M41A1 walker bulldog should be 7.7. If this game had historical matchmaking, I would be one of many people to quit

Historical match making has nothing at all to do with BR’s - ther are literally hunfreds of games that can manage to use it - table-top, computer and board games all have cases where opponents are limited to some form of “historical” without any problem at all.

A historical MM mode for WT would rate equipment by its effectiveness vs historical opponents only and you would “pay” for it somehow - not be coralled into BR ranges - so a KV-1 in 1941 might cost 100 pts and a Pz-3E 25 or something like that.

WOT does that, and look how it is mocked in this community, some vehicles are better than others from its time, and that’s just fact.

And that is why you “pay” more for them to be fielded - you don’t jsut get 1 KV-1 for every Pz3 - you get 4, 5, 10 Pz-3’s per KV…

WoT is mocked for lots of things - I dont’ play it so I dont’ know how it works, but I have played tabletop, computer and board games for half-a-century that work perfectly well with historical MM.

It seems to me that most WT players simply have no concept of how such MM works and so make up specious arguments like yours out of ignorance.
