The 2nd prototype maus was completed and actually sent to fight the Red Army, it just broke down on the way and was destroyed by its crew to prevent it’s capture.

Yeah, if war thunder implemented a game mode where it was historical but still balanced, eg 5 Sherman’s for each tiger, that would be fine. If they just slam us with historical matchmaking, we will get 15 mauses vs 15 Sherman firefly’s

Maus works fina as it is…it is WAY SLOW…but that is what it is supposed to be…
Other than that it has more armor and firepower than most things at its BR…
Wanting to be (almost) invulnerable and having a killer gun makes a very poor balance argument to agree with…
They kind of tried that.
Had stuff like pz3 and t28s fight. You could save up sp to take out a early t34 or panzer4 but each team was limited to 2 of those.
Once those got spawned, people just sort of sat in the spawn screen to wait to join in or just left.
Yes I completely agree right now it sucks at 9.0 br completely unworth the grind for credits and research points it ate up
the maus is one of the most miserable things to play against in the entire game, second maybe only to the t58. if anything it should be moved up so it’s even worse
Both of the Maus’s were to be sent away from the advancing Soviets. Hull 1 was in no shape to leave Kummersdorf, thus they tried moving Hull 2. Hull 2 broke down in Wunsdorf while trying to make it to the Maybach I and II Bunker complex. It was determined to be of no use even as a stationary weapon, thus was destroyed by the crew.

To be fair, by the time it would reach the battlefield, it’ll get tracked, and bombed to kingdom come (like it wouldve been irl lmao)
I still think that’s no reason for it to be 6.7.
