Is the difference not Britain owns the challenger hull used on the 130 and Germany sold the leopard hull to vickers?

At the end of the day these are just passed to the devs suggestions, I dont think they set in stone the nation it will come to
Germany lent a Leopard 2 hull to Vickers, and then blocked the Mk.7 from being exported.
The Vickers Mk.7 was trialed quite a lot by the British Army
Yeah, and? You’re arguing parts/country of origin, Mk.7s hull was a Leopard 2 hull, by this logic either drop the “CR2 130 ours cus hull ours” or just say you’re a hypocrite :P
I’m fine with Germany getting a version of the Vickers Mk.7, so long as america get an AMX-13-M24 and so on.
Tbh i don’t want either, I just dislike when people use an argument, and when it’s shown to apply to another vehicle too, they change it up because otherwise they’d appear hypocritical.
I want the Leopard 3 instead.
I’m using the hull argument as the Challenger 2 130 was just a product from a company, it was never actually used by either the British or Germany army to any degree.
Gaijin do not add vehicles based on the company that produces them (generally) but rather the nation that actively used or trialed them.
The Challenger 2, which the vehicle is based off, is actively used by the British army but has no relation to Germany. Therefore in my opinion it makes more sense to go to Britain, rather than Germany where the only relation is the company that produced the upgrade, seperately from the German armed forces.

Like you say, it doesn’t mean the vehicle’s going to be exclusive to any one tree, just that it’s a suggestion for Germany
The F-35B suggestion that was passed, is listed as being for Italy but I don’t see anybody fretting that there wont be an American, British, or Japanese F-35B
Okay fair, I was always under the belief vickers bought the hull then were refused more hulls due to politics.
I wouldn’t be mad if Germany got a Mk.7 either way.
My issue, is that (and has been from the start) I’m almost certain that, Gaijin won’t add it for both nations. Hell, knowing Gaijin it’ll end up as a German Premium. I want it added to both, or neither, but again, I’m almost certain they wont do it like that.
Germany could get the Vickers Mk.7 for all I care, but I dont think many German players really want it as it has very limited historical connection to Germany
The Challenger 130 is made by a German company, but the Challenger series have no real relation to Germany, but a huge history with Britain.
Germany also have their own fully domestic tanks that use the same gun, so they don’t explicitly need it
They can add it to both Britain and Germany, but I think you’ll find the German players will flock towards the KF51 as it has a lot more appeal due to being an evolution of the Leopard 2

And in absence of trial data they then tend to add it to the nation that the finished vehicle originated from, i.e in this case Germany.

It was passed for UK at an earlier point already.
Dont take it to seriously, the list rarely means anything and isnt handled by devs.
Why are y’all ignoring the fact Leopard 3 is literally being designed as we speak?
It’s a vastly more advanced and powerful vehicle compared to KF 51 :D
Theres a few photos of the Vickers Mk.7/2 undergoing trials at Lulworth, while mostly intended for export it was also used in general to gain knowledge on MBT development.
There were plans to put the turret on the Challenger hull, but they never materialised, instead the knowledge learned on the Vickers Mk.7 was applied to develop the Challenger 2.
The Challenger 130 does not really originate from Germany, its just produced by a German company, it dosen’t have any connection to the German military

Problem is what makes the chally the chally 130 is the german gun. And the whole point it was done was to advertise it to germany.

But the same argument u use for the chally 130 works for kf51.
Germany doesnt use Kf51, its gonna be the service tank of italy and hungary.
KF51 being ok but chally 130 not. Doesnt work out.
Produced, developed, tested, advertised toward.
It does have german military connection. Its the whole goal of the chally 130.
The chally 130 as it existed, never left germany.
It never touched british soil
The gun, not the vehicle.
If the German army has shown no interest in the KF51 then I guess they could go without it ingame
Apart from the fact the entire hull was produced in the UK and then shipped to Germany
So pointing out a vehicle simply getting tested somewhere isn’t the same as the Army actively putting it thru their own set of tests is grasping at straws?
