Objectively tho, Chally 2 has never held a candle to either the Leopard 2, or the Abrams, and even now the 2A8 is already objectively a better option all around, ignoring how the Leopard 3 will enter service in early to mid 2030s, and will make the gap even larger, seeing as it’s more akin to US’s “Abrams X” i.e SEPv3 replacement.

The issue is that, yet again it’s an incentive thing. Why would they add something to Germany thats uniquely German if they are given the Chally 130?
I mean, sure they could but if they did theres already something there now that bridges a gap for an up gunned MBT, and a unique one at that so the incentive to add something uniquely German to them is put far to the back of the list.
Either Britain will get it or Germany will but not both of them. One has been “produced” so it’s unique and unlikely to be given to two nations.
It should go to Britain, and Germany should get KF51 to compensate for that.

U know how much of a laughing stock britain would become if they alone get a tank that never even touched their soil or was developed by them? Thats such a big case of favourism they wouldnt be able to let it down.

KF51 is adopted by italy and hungary just in 120mm version.
So what would give you the right to take “their 130mm” version away from them

Challenger is nothing special and why shouldnt challengers be in other trees?

My point is that as up gunned MBT’s go, basically every single one would just go to Germany, which is already powerful enough as it is.
Chally is underperforming for the most part, and the answer is what? Give the rich more money? Make the powerful nations in the game even more powerful? I’m sure that will help with balancing, and in the long term when they decide that everyone should have something I’m sure Britain will have loads of choices.

Germany would get the 140mm Leopard, 130mm KF51, 130mm Chally, and guess what? nobody is allowed any of those but Germany. Britain yet again getting put to the bottom, while everyone gets a rich choice of content.

Personally, I think Britain makes more sense for the Challenger 2 130mm. The majority of the tank is still British, and while enhanced by a German company, it was never intended for use by the German army,
However, if they wanted to add it to both Britain and Germany (like the DF105 in Germany and France) I wouldn’t mind.
I have much more interesting in the Challenger 3 prototypes due to their improved armour.

If it isn’t on the list for the UK (which it isn’t looking at that list that was posted) and it’s something as easy as copying and pasting, it wont be getting added to Britain. Otherwise, it would say “Challenger 3 EPSOM” followed by “Challenger 130mm Demonstrator” for the UK as well, right?
