Challenger 2 MBT - Technical data and Discussion (Part 2)

It really sounds like Gaijin just leaves accepted bug reports in the trash can to forget about them with this information.

Doesn’t this essentially provide evidence for the L27A1 buff?

Bug reports at this point are almost certainly implemented on a case by case basis for balance reasons and their previous official communications about “realism first” is just a clear marketing lie at this point.

Only explanation as to why some bug reports are actioned and others are ignored

If devs are having trouble with L27A1 penning K5 T80U. Then just maybe as said by someone else “L27A1 is under performing or T80 Armour is over performing”. Shouldn’t they default to investigate both options and in doing so, they should know there is a ACCEPTED BUG REPORT FOR 2 YEARS on L27A1 penetration.

This basically self-reports Gaijin as just throwing bug reports into a filing cabinet to forget about them.

funnily its both

L27 is underperforming in game

and “Texolite” as a whole armour type is overperforming

Theyve used the same excuse for BOL

“Not enough information”

Like seriously? How is there not enough information, just admit you dont want to model it accurately because its a balance issue.

And the sad part is, nothing will change from this. They won’t improve L27A1 let alone nerf T80 armour.

Even with this providing evidence to both bug reports being correct.

Yeah. They’re probably never going to fix the ready racks either, which would almost be a bigger buff overall

At this point “accepted” on bug reports is basically “We’ve accepted your report on a technical basis, but still wont do anything about it so fuck off.”

All of those accepted bug reports that so many tanks/aircraft desperately need that would provide so much QOL to those vehicles, are all just rotting in some hard drive to never be acted upon. God forbid a dev does their job.

It was inferred up to this point that this is the case but that statement just out right confirms it.

For some time now, bug reports have become a sort of suggestion box, where you point out things that are wrong and unrealistic, and the moderators either accept or ignore them depending on how their day went. Accepted reports are then fixed depending on whether the developers are interested and, above all, whether it generates any benefit. For example, this report I made went quite a while without being reviewed. I complained in a post announcing a new update, and a kind moderator made the effort to accept it, but once accepted, it just stayed there, uncorrected. It’s worth noting that the error is almost absurd, since fixing it would simply involve opening the Centurion AVRE files, finding the added armor, and changing the value from 10 to 44. That’s it, because the 3D model already has that value since it was added. It’s essentially a clear example of them having no idea what they’re doing with the game.

The one that always drives me nuts is randomly adding sooty exhausts to some aircraft, but not others, and even after reports its not fixed. Harrier and Typhoon both have sooty exhausts and both have accepted reports for it.

Cant even claim its a balancing issue

oh not just T-80

Texolite is in Every single Russian MBT since T-64 iirc?

Yeah but that will never happen. Russian tanks getting a armour nerf is like proving god exists.

T-64 was the first, yes. It’s then been used in more or less every MBT since including upgrade packs for T-55, etc.

Sounds like a marketing lie. Clearly its underperforming

the trunnion pin existing gave part of the mantlet ~450mm protection, and i think there’s another plate or something that slots into the gaps in the trunnion either side of the barrel? adding those two and nothing else will get at least 500mm over the trunnion

They’ve been shooting down every bug report for NATO MBTs for the past few days mate.
The CR2 with a turret basket and nerfed trunion is now going to be the worst top tier in game.

taking a hit to my CR2 stats and playing badly so it gets downtiered

Pff it’s not even a joke, i had htem out the other day, and while they aren’t horrific I’d stll much rather my ariete or merkavas over them.
the cas situation for Britains pretty poor at top tier as well unless you ahve the 14.7 EF2000 AESA with the spice.
