and even the 11.7 lineup isnt that good with CAS at hte moment either ,given Britain has been denied ANY ARM below 12.3.

But regardless if it pens the T-80, it would still be a buff for the L27A1 regardless if it pens? What’s to say the reason they are not able to pen the T80 armour is because you guys have the T80 armour/era wrong. Maybe the armour / ERA is over performing, maybe the issue is the T80 or that you have gotten that wrong.
I highly doubt the UK MOD are going to lie or be inaccurate on test results, standards and expectations.
The L27 pen is underperforming aswell so try it with its actual pen.
The L27 is also lighter and smaller compared to IRL.
And are you saying that a factual IRL MOD REPORT is not enough evidence and that an inaccurate in game test supersedes this factual report? You have no evidence to say the report is not factual so until then we take it as factual.
Fix the L27. It doesn’t add up no matter what way u look at it.

I mean mate at 11.7 the best cas is arguably still the GR1A jaguar.

Eh. I wont go that far. Tornado GR1 is better than the Jaguar in every respect.
And if you have it the Harrier T10 is okay. But Britians CAS at 11.7 is definetly some of the weakest at the moment.
So stupid that the GR1 doesnt get ALARM

Tornado GR1?
It has 4x MK13 GBUs, 5x GBU-12s (As of this coming major) and the FnF TV-guided PGMs.
Coupled with the better FM, more CMs, better RWR, better A2A self-defence, its a straight upgrade over the Jag.
Its only the 10.0 ones that dont get guided weapons. (Though I really want one of those to use with the 10.3 lineup)
Yeah… That is a fair stance to have though. Im glad I got it when it was available.

I’m just curious here, But has anybody here attempted to create a bug report regarding challenger 2 receiving a turret basket when it doesn’t have one IRL ??

Ive seen quite a few made, but all been rejected. The only change they really need to make though is to remove the turret rotation effect thingy from the base plate. The rest of it is “fine”.
Far more pissed about the attitude towards L27A1 performance or the Trunnion re-re-removal at the moment.

So it’s meant to be a rotating floor. Apparently the floor isn’t in the damage model or something according to a forum mod

IF it gets a damage model, that makes it disable the horizontal drive, then all the T series tanks need to receive their “rotating floor” that does the same, because they also have them in the middle of their ammo carousels the exact same as challenger. Cant make it do it for one and not the other.
This is only a model however, AFAIK its accurate.
The T-80U ammo carousel, holds all the ammo. We have this in game, and destroying this would not disable horizontal drive.
In the centre of it, is a turret basket. As you can see, this is designed to rotate separate to the carousel, meaning its like the abrams basket, except with ammo all around it. Damaging this would disable the horizontal drive.

Almost any shot into the ammo of a T series tank should disable its horizontal drive, much like what happens on the abrams, leopard, etc. due to the position of the basket to the ammo carousel.
If chally is getting a rotating floor, the T80’s should be getting their whole basket.

of course the documents are gonna lack specifics more than half the information on it is classified and the currently known performance is that L27A1 is underperforming in terms of raw penetration and K5 is still overperforming in terms of kinetic protection but the devs dont seem to want to take notice of that

I think you could park a T-80U and a Challenger 2 on the front lawn of their HQ, fire an L27A1 at said T-80U and they would still claim a lack of information

Theres also images of the c2 taking hits to the turret cheeks and upper glacis (?) from a T80 and a rocket hit from a helicopter to the commanders hatch. DM if u wanna see.
