Probably not, in the same way the Conqueror just got screwed over its mantlet.
Don’t count on it. We’ve a report for Leopard 2s to also have this fixed since about ~2020 (seems to have been a universal “have some more spall” nerf applied back in 2019 and 2020 to make NATO tanks generally easier to kill for Rossiyan MBTs) and nothing has come out of it, cus ofc, they’re not Russian ))))
don’t forget the Centurion Mk.10s mantlet being weaker than the Mk.3 mantlet when it should be the opposite
Could I please encounter some of these wild ‘‘easy to kill mantlets’’ perhaps?
Only one of those was a Leopard 2, and it wasn’t one that has the artificially nerfed mantlet that produces extreme spall. You got volumetric’d.
Only the 2A5, 2A6, 2A7 and Strv 122 variants have the additional spall from the mantlet.
Edited for clarity
For Leopards at least, not scolding you but making it easier for… individuals with less understanding of how gaming logic and maths works
Cherrypicking at its finest
-
Implying people don’t cherry-pick when they show a shot failing to inflict the expected amount of damage against Russian vehicles?
-
I don’t notice any difference in damage taken when shot in the breech between NATO or Russian tanks.
People do cherry pick, but in my experience it happens significantly more often on Russian tanks compared to NATO or even Chinese tanks
‘‘Grass is always greener on the other side’’.
You’ve never played a single Russian T-series MBT. I sometimes get a bit tired of people complaining about Russian damage models on their MBT’s, only to find out they’re another one on the giant mountain of people that’ll complain whilst never having played these vehicles themselves.
Meanwhile, I’m trying to stock grind the T-90M and it’s absolutely infuriating with how badly the thing performs.
Of course, it doesn’t help that it’s 1v16 every match because T-80U-E1 sales just happened.
People know to just aim for the breech/side/LFP and it just OHK’s you like anything else, except I also have to deal with the worst reload rate, awful acceleration, atrocious reverse speed, poor gun depression, awful steering and a chassis that’s far too wide for CQB.
As someone who has played a wide variety of Top tier MBTs (12.7 Sweden, All of Britain, M1a1 Aim, T80, T90A, T72B3 and a handful of others) Its a mixed bag on both sides. Both have weird occurances of taking no damage from shots that SHOULD have disabled or outright killed the vehicle (looking at you russian tanks) When it comes to breech shots however i have noticed alot more lately that the T Series tanks mainly the 12.7 ones dont reliably get affected. However in playing Russia i have noticed in CERTAIN cases that the only vehicles i have difficulty dealing with are the Swedish 122b, PLSS, and B+ and usually the Leopard 2 PL (but that thing is a special case that is just stupid) only the 2A6 and 2A7 style variants of the Leopards are a problem and even then its 50/50. 3BM46 is an almost no go against the mantlets of those tanks but 3BM60 works almost everytime. So it just comes down to either you get volumetricd or you kill the target. Same can be said with almost any vehicle in the game now.
Inbetween sales on 11.7 and 12.0 Premiums. Whichever team has Russia and China generally win, If China is on one and russia is on the other its usually a decent match. But with the BMPTs about currently Russias AVG winrate is nearing almost 80% at the 10.7 and up range but thats besides the point.
Does the T90S Bshima not count as a T series MBT?
Yes its a T series MBT but as a british main i would rather take the TTD that sits at 10.3 with its 105 over the bishma to 10.7 Atleast with the TTD i know itll kill what im shooting at and will actually survive afew rounds.
I’m not sure about that. Not saying you’re wrong but whenever I play it, I always get penned like 80% of the shots fired at me are at my breech which basically has no armour even though the x-ray stat says it has it. I only do somewhat well in it cause I play like a slow Leopard 2A4 when it should play like a 2A5/M1A1 (or M1A2, can’t remember) with a weaker gun and slightly lesser sights
Yea Milage may vary but i play it pretty much like a Faster Cheiftain. My first few British nukes were with the TTD. Just gotta tweak your turret right before they shoot. Its got armor in the breech but if your looking dead on its basically the same as any other MBT. The moment they hit on an angle the mixture of the Composite on both sides of the Plate thats between the breech and the cheeks it becomes a non pen and then you can just shoot back.
I have been inside the TTD, I have a video of the inside. The ergonomics is insanely nice even compared to the M1A2 and Leopard 2A6 pictures and footage, which the TTD is supposed to be equal to.
Gaijin seem to hate South Africa more than most nations in the entire game. Don’t know why, maybe because we managed to make better Centurion upgrades than the Soviet Union’s tanks.
I’ll make a forum tomorrow explaining the TTD and how inaccurate it is even compared to similar tanks
Careful somebody tried will try to argue that because it was a Prototype that it shouldnt be accurate because x y and z.
It is common knowledge here, it is one of the few things we keep saying to keep our courage up and not give up cause the ANC (not going to say anymore of them)
Can I see this video? That sounds interesting.
brother ive made 7 bug reports on the TTD’s armour please bless me with all your info and videos
