@CHARM_3, the player
I know he called himself L27 but I’m talking about him
oh i didn’t read, properly, i thought you mean CHARM 3 as an ammunition modification for the Challies
We can try firing them out of the canon, but might not appreciate it :D
The meteo sensor mast still isn’t up on any of them ahah, I hope they add these however I dunno if they will considering something as simple as the meteo sensor not being up hasn’t been fixed.

I also posted this a year ago, with nothing so far

2s38 I’d the only high tier spaa I game to be a premium
Russia has a low tier spaa as well the zut 37
Besides there is the 3 vehicle ww2 packs
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but whenever I look at Challenger 2 models in games, the hull always appears noticeably taller compared to real-life photos. After checking multiple reference images, especially from side views, I get a strong impression that the in-game models have a higher hull than the real vehicle. Because of this, the tank ends up looking rather tall and awkward.
Am I mistaken, or is this a valid observation? When you look at details like the distance between the side skirts and the road wheels, the in-game representation feels quite different from the real thing.
From what I remember challengers sit lower when not in use. Something to do with the hydro gas suspension getting warm and expanding when in use.
I’m sure this had been discussed here a while back but in game they are/seem modelled in the taller state :(
if true then modelling them in the taller state makes logical sense.
I could swear I recall something about peacetime vs wartime settings for the Challenger 2 suspension being discussed somewhere. In peacetime its raised for better driver visibility or something. This could entirely be me remembering something for an entirely different vehicle though.
probably not i would’ve thought,
lower suspension would mean harder suspension likely, meaning less shooty, and worse cross country, Also more vulnerable to mines/IED while lower
probably possible to lower it but i doub’t it’d be standard
Every chance im remembering something for an entirely unrelated vehicle.
Just a baby report for the CR2:

Notice more than a few times that the automatic camo selection thing fails horribly on the Challenger 2 more often than not. Its like it just picks randomly

That’s just Gaijin’s stupid map and skin tagging, Campaina is an “Urban” map, so Berlin Gray with its urban tag “fits”
Would be nice to have the game remember the skin selected for each map when automatic selection is off :/
Though im fairly certain ive noticed it with some other skins too before. Definetly had a desert camo on a city map, Alaska Maybe?
Post-T80 buff gameplay is interesting…
Previously, the challenger was already poor. I mean it could have been worse but you had a general advantage the longer the distance was, particularly if you’re playing the black night with the APS.
Now? The moment you run out of your 4 rounds of “excellent” [exact same as everyone else] reload, you’re objectively inferior to everything else on the battlefield. T-80s return fire faster than you can even with an ace crew.
Spoiler
Also, L27A1 remains a hilariously inadequate round

IIRC the hydrogas suspension units mean that when the tank warms up the gas expands and the ride height increases. So a tank which has sat stationary for some time will look lower than one that has been driving around recently and warmed up.
As a somewhat adjacent sidenote, are we ever getting this mantlet fixed?
Result of 1 (one) shot to the mantlet

How does the engine even get damaged?
