completly true and a complete possibility

…I think the main thing we have to thunk over is whats gonna be the end of line for Britain… either being a proper CH3 prototype ( as that’s near completion and stuff) or a CH2 130 shared with Germany and sadly… that’s it…

stock in 1200hp or just waiting Commonwealth to save British

We dont know if the engines still 1200hp as been side there’s a chance its uprated to 1350hp or even more if the cooling (I think it was that) is changed…

if newly prototype have some change in the engine compartment, it can make suggestion to prove it
hope and copium

We know fans changed. If something else, dunno

Is the fan change not an improvement to the cooling systems then?

It is, but we dont know how much it improves it, and to what increase it amounts ( :] )

why didn’t they give the Chally 2 turret traverse speed same as it’s fellow nato tanks?

Because Challenger 2 is a land battleship and will be treated as such.

Because the turret traverse it currently has is correct based on source material.

Chally 2 has correct turret traverse

Challenger 3 will probably have better turret traverse irl as it uses a new turret traverse drive

I thought that CR2s turret traverse speed was limited for the sake of safety, not due to the performance of the mechanism itself. I thought it could be overridden for emergencies.

Cr 2 standard rotation is 12s 360, there is a stronger mode that causes greater wear on parts, but is used during combat. 9s 360.

just waiting for proper Australian sub tree so i dont have to grind 4 trees to play my nations vehicles. M1A2 sepv3 for Aus would be great and im pretty sure in the next few months we will see some pics of it with Iron Fist attached to it and maybe just maybe even a 30mm RWS with Spikes.

Yeah aint happening

with the upgraded speed of the chally 3 but same engine power, would that mean the transmission has been upgraded in its place? Would allow for more hp to be utilised so would end up with a higher top speed would it not? That is unless the power pack also includes said transmission, then i dont know. All i know is that gaijin turned down spall liners for the “cr 3” (we all know it shouldn’t be called that) due to it being a tech demo but then refuses to keep its 1500hp as the production variant wouldn’t have it, just like how the production variant wont have a spall liner as well i guess…

what upgraded speed?

i am once again asking for anything that says the TD specifically had an engine upgrade

Not sure, however im more annoyed about the wording as they implied that their removing it for that reason and not because the actual tech demo didnt have the engine (which i am not going to even try and argue about as i know anyone here has way more knowledge on it than me). Also, i thought someone had commented on how the speed of the chally 3 was meant to be higher than the challenger 2, but if thats not the case then i was mistaken, just trying to think of ways the mobility would have increased. Mainly because i doubt they ever planned on increasing the hp of the challenger, our doctrine doesn’t require high top speed, that combined with the fact our government doesnt like spending money they would have chose to stuck with the old 1200hp power pack.

I just dont think gaijin are allowed to say their not adding a vital survivability factor for a tank as its a “tech demo” but then remove the 1500hp engine on the base that someone said that the production tank wont have it. They are two seperate tanks entirely, especially in this case as the “tech demo” is a chally 2 and nothing like the chally 3. They are two separate tanks.

my guess is that the “increased mobility” is coming from the improved suspension allowing more cross-country mobility. I imagine that the next big reason for people expecting an engine hp increase is the government messing up the units on the press release and telling everyone CR3 has a 60mph top speed.
