Were you at work in your CR2 when you saw this? but actually, how did you get this image?
It’s because of how fucked and Cracked Russia is is the reason it is soo popular, I still play and love nations even if they are shit (I play lots of Britain and tried grinding Japan ground, I know)
What they could also do is make Russia dominate in another way, they already do it with their CAS weapons. What Gaijin could do is make NATO tanks on par with they should be comparatively to real life but add Russian tanks that they can dictate the functioning and inner workings of. For example, Object 195 would have been very similar in performance to the Leopard 2A5 and the M1A2 in-game. The T-14 would be very similar (if you listen to the propaganda stats) to the Leopard 2A6 and M1A2 SEP (v1).
The current way things are done is out of hatred or spite, maybe both towards western nations

There are some forums where the tittle is “Why is NATO so nerfed in this Russia propaganda game?” or something along those lines

CR2 discussion
looks inside
“Russia like China needs massive parades”
That’s nothing, I once saw a Taliban video of a guy smashing through 3 metres of marble with the side of his nutsack and crack in two from the side of it.
It’s been posted here several times
It’s just a side view from the driver’s position
I know, I’ve also seen it a few times, I’m just trying to lighten the mood as too not get as depressed as the CR2 is at top tier
I get quite the chuckled whenever people fail to pen my ch2, and a great chuckle when I goad some Z10me or Mi28 in spamming their FnF missiles at my Black Knight.
The only way I can stay sane playing the blasted thing, with the near guarenteed American teams I get given.
Yeah, recently been playing a lot of ground assault and it’s always nice to not be penned when hulldown, except when the AI somehow hits the middle third of my turret and kills half the turret crew and breech because Gaijin refuse to even model something as small and wanted like that or how the CR1’s breech armour gap is barrel size yet it’s the same size as the CR2 breech. Or the TTD with the same problem as the CR1 but nerfed armour out the wazoo
We can only cope that they give the Challenger 3 some actual mantlet armour
don’t get your copes up
Engine power change was nice, tank still feels very heavy and terrible when you change direction.
But to me the worst thing about CR2 is the round L27A1 is not a top tier round
Gaijin need to buff L27A1 or lower CR2s.
As for the ready rack issue yes that would help, but you would still have an anaemic round. The maps becoming smaller with singular cap points is also a massive issue, Russian teams are on you in seconds and their best frontal armour has a good chance of bouncing/absorbing L27A1
My only wish that it’s very easy is the ability to remove all the addon armour on the OES but I would like to keep the LFP armour and the Enforcer .50 cal
We will be getting a regenerative steering test (announced by BVVD) in the near future, perhaps on the upcoming dev server, which in theory should fix the speed loss when changing direction.
We’ll have to see how that goes
Regen steering and giving the CH2s their actual 1st stage ammo count would bring them up quite a bit.
Considering how fun 2500hp in arcade assault and speeding, then changing speed and drifting is very fun
Challengers can increase their firepower by introducing the “ammunition on the knee” mechanic, which allows the loader to load the first round after the shot in +/- 3 seconds. After that, if fire continues without pausing to replenish the first stage, the charging takes the standard 5 seconds as part of the first stage.
To put it simply, it is 3 -5 -5 -5 or 3-5-5-5-5 second pattern of reload after full recovery of first stage - a local upgrade that is both significant and does not break the balance
They could quite easily model this by just giving the Challenger 2 a ready rack with 1 shell, with the ready rack having a 3-4 second reload and non-ready rack shells having something like a 5 second reload.
The only issue is you’d then need:
- First stage ready rack (lap shell)
- Second stage ready rack (back of turret/around loader)
- Third stage (ammunition stored by the driver)
I do not believe war thunder supports having three ready racks, only first and second stage ammo
I like that idea, but I think in general it would be more plausible for them to just increase the ready rack size to what it should be (I think around 24 rounds)
