No it was modified by Royal ordinance as a test for the new gun, no nation evaluated it as it was developed for the RO2004, but the canadians just went on to adopt it later down the line, unrelated to the testing

Damn, 200 messages in 1 day. We are speedruning part 3 i see.
you know what, i actually wouldnt mind they gave the cr130 to germany.
if they use the same criteria has a the rest of the cr2s. no blowout pannels, 1200hp, extremely poor mantlet armour. then i would wait for the crying to start.
ok clarify, royal ordinance, is that a UK company thats modified a canadian leopard or a canadian company
based on the name it could be both
RO is UK
yeah, i heared that sentiment a lot already as well
then it goes to UK
As Devil said, its a UK company that fitted the gun to both a leopard and an M60 to prep for their RO2004 tank, I think its just a coincidence that it was a Canadian Leo, maybe the only one they could get their hands on for testing, as the UK didnt have any full Leos, just hulls for BARV’s iirc
if they did that yeah uk could get leopards, but its highly unlikely
RO is the reason why im waiting for all the funky stuff like
like i said, following rules it goes to uk then
so curiousity, was i able to satisfy your questions and what is your opinion in the end?
btw why the hell does that picture name leoaprd 3 lol
no clue, I think its either a Typo or someone assumed the 2A5 would be called the Leo 3
‘following clearance form the UK customer’
to modifiy the chally yes, they were allowed to do with it what they wanted.
doesnt mean involvement by uk
Well make it to part 3 before a CR2 sees a single improvment.
The real solution is to just tank the vehicle performance in-game so that it gets changed in BR.
they need to either lower its BR or fix its issues so that it can stay at the current one. neither of which will be done.
