Pretty low down the list when it comes to protection/survivability (and TES upgrade is probably not worth it for the amount of protection it provides)
There really isnt much going for us currently bar some half decent optics.
The TES should be a top tier Tortoise re-incarnated, with the CE protection being roughly triple what it is currently and should be far more resistant to auto-canon fire. Such a shame.
Shame really, i spent all that time spading it just to stop playing it after i got over pressured by a bmp 2m missile over pressuring me after hitting me in the side at an almost 90 degree angle on the NERA… Reminds me of when the ROMAs ERA used to over pressure itself lol.
Yeah. I put in a load of time and effort to reach top tier because the CR2s look amazing and I also hoped that finally getting to top tier would end the constant feeling of always being uptiered and thus outclassed… but nope. Even in a 12.0 CR2. I feel like every match is a full uptier
I guess we are at the mercy of when we get the CR3(P) and what Gaijin allows it to have.
Thats how other games have modelled it even Squad but no Gaijin think CR2 is crap and should die to 30mm autocannon fire. CR2 TES could have been like Britains T-90M but then the Russians wouldnt like that. And that is a problem players will bug report other nations vehicles to get them crapped on.
I dont think it’s an exaggeration to say in a decompressed world with no buffs CR2 in game is the worst high tier tank.

I really hope gaijin adds the applique armour to the Challenger 2’s eventually, it would be enough to stop all Russian rounds currently ingame (as well as other rounds with below 600mm pen)

But more specifically the Challengers. If you look at videos and even use XM885, you will consistently 1 or 2 shot Challengers’ ammo bags but in Russian tanks, the charge bags will either disappear or will take little damage and not blow up the tank. If the CR1s and CR2s got Russian ammo damage models, they would be some of the best tanks in-game
