False, you get abrams levels of top speed. Actually 72kmph however, the tank is still substantially heavier and more sluggish than an abrams.
Depends the challanger TBH, the BN i would prefer without it, the CR2 TES or 2F i like with it.

CR2E is in the game? or are we all missing that out, its literally meant to be the “same” as the one sent to greece for trials…
They are different. The one sent to SA, Greece and Wales are all slightly modified, the SA trialled one had better air filters and the CR2 sights and stuff; the Greek one had different CITV and HMG; the British one had the TOGS removed and the sights changed
Huh maybe I got wrong information as when i looked into it there was only two or three actually made wasn’t there, as well as that the one for the greeks suffered due to having was it material in the barrel or using a bit of a dodgy round ?
The SA? south africa trialed the CR2? There you go learn something new everyday man.
Didn’t realise they persued the CR2 as much as they did, thought they just went with their own thigns in the olifants and such
Edit : a bit off topic, but on my little SA search i discovered an Olifant with applique armour, wtf is this and why do I want it
That is a Olifant Optimum. Think of it as Olifant Mk.2 if funding was kept.
Seems a bit like the TTD that can mount the 120mm cannon and such, a lot of what ifs.
(NGL I love all the centurion based tanks and that thing looks absolutely minted IMO)
Thanks for that information
The SA 2E would be a fun premium/event tbf, double the reason to be in the tree. Did it use a different camouflage?
Yea, they shared some technology.
Basically a Mk.2 with blow out panels and better armour a nice 9.7 IMO
Don’t know anything about the Greek trials besides that they weren’t successful
Yeah, after the Logim project (which the TTD came out of) and the Olifant 2 project (later renamed to Olifant Mk.1b Optimum) were cancelled but before the Olifant Mk.2 was pursued
Sort of
The TTD was also going to fit a 140mm if the 120mm cannon and tank were accepted into service
I’ll post a link to the Olifant 2 suggestion and a TTD forum for more info
Neat, was wondering if they did anything like that.
Would be fun to see imo
I mean like the TTD the budget sort of buggered it up.
Would pair up well with the recently added Shir 2
Yeah I read into a bit ages ago so could be wrong.
I see, well there you go bit of extra informations to start the evening.
TTD seemed quite ideal on paper TBH seems a not too bad MBT.
There is something strangely off putting about that CR2, reminds me of the prototype models. for somereason
It was the late 90s so it could have been an early production CR2 taken from the factory, spruced up a bit then shipped off
If it had been completed then the production tank would have been on of the best MBTs ever produced, and it wasn’t that far from full completion; only 5ish years to being done
Substantially is an overstatement. Have you spaded it? I find myself outpacing T-80BVM and Abrams quite regularly during the early game cap rush. Also you’ve got the spall liner and better armor than the Abrams, as well as no turret basket module. Like I said the only thing that holds it back is the vertical targeting speed.
You can check my K:D, I perform pretty good in it, I’ve played it enough to unlock the Late Bicolor Camo. I quite like playing it, it’s a good looking tank and is pretty meta if you know what you’re doing. Then again the Leclerc is my favorite and most played tank in the game and I always speak highly of its capabilities, IMO one of the best top tiers… Maybe it’s a problem with me lol.
And the round, L27A1 is not the equal of DM-53, 3BM60 or M829
All of the CR2s have that problem (besides the CR3 but we don’t speak about that one)
And to be honest I don’t really notice the lack of spall. It performs pretty closely to 3BM60.
I feel some times with the super heavies the T-90M and the 2A7 (STRV-122B+) I have to shoot them multiple times and if you only have small areas of the tank exposed the spalling gets eaten by the liners and ERA
As I understand it the M829A2 (maybe even A3) is equal to L27A1 IRL in pen, if not worse than
