If it had been completed then the production tank would have been on of the best MBTs ever produced, and it wasn’t that far from full completion; only 5ish years to being done
Substantially is an overstatement. Have you spaded it? I find myself outpacing T-80BVM and Abrams quite regularly during the early game cap rush. Also you’ve got the spall liner and better armor than the Abrams, as well as no turret basket module. Like I said the only thing that holds it back is the vertical targeting speed.
You can check my K:D, I perform pretty good in it, I’ve played it enough to unlock the Late Bicolor Camo. I quite like playing it, it’s a good looking tank and is pretty meta if you know what you’re doing. Then again the Leclerc is my favorite and most played tank in the game and I always speak highly of its capabilities, IMO one of the best top tiers… Maybe it’s a problem with me lol.
And the round, L27A1 is not the equal of DM-53, 3BM60 or M829
All of the CR2s have that problem (besides the CR3 but we don’t speak about that one)
And to be honest I don’t really notice the lack of spall. It performs pretty closely to 3BM60.
I feel some times with the super heavies the T-90M and the 2A7 (STRV-122B+) I have to shoot them multiple times and if you only have small areas of the tank exposed the spalling gets eaten by the liners and ERA
As I understand it the M829A2 (maybe even A3) is equal to L27A1 IRL in pen, if not worse than
the penetrator of the L27A1 its around 615 mm for what i remember somoene managed to find in the part 1 of the thread so it cant really pen more than 615 mm its physically impossible

Near enough, missing the little things like L34 and the breaking systems but got the engine, filters, transmission and suspension.
Again top speed =/= mobility.
mobility overall means its performance, forwards backwards and in all directions.
The CR2s also seem to have the issue of absolutely dropping most their speed in a turn compared to say the abrams or T80BVM
BTW i doubt you outpaced the T80BVM its got substantially higher PTWR in 26.6 HP/PT while the CR2E barely makes 24. Backwards though the BVM is useless.

the CR2 armour is laughably bad in this game I survive a lot more with the abrams.
Also the spall liner for the CR2 is in a completely irrelevant spot being it doesn’t go onto the sides nor the LFP its only a UFP and turret spall liner which stops absolutely nothing.
Seeing as you can fire through the LFP and hit the ammo.

The CR2s are arguably the worst top tiers in game right now, the 2E being slightly faster doesn’t make it pretty meta.
the clear defined meta sits squarely with the Leopard 2a7 and 122B+ right now.
Nout wrong with doing good with and enjoying the what isnt considered the best statistically speaking, I hate the russian tanks and tbh not a big fan of the leopards but do good enough with em.
The issue is getting it mixed up, statistically speaking the Cr2’s and especially the 2E are worse than most, if not all of the competition.
hence why most take the BN over the 2E due to the APDS being amazing
